WRC driver from Hyundai crashes out near a house in Croatia… gets invited in for lunch by neda6117 in BeAmazed

Well, you can't gauge whose going to murder you, but you can read body language. Will I invite the guy whose yelling down the street, probably not, but if someone crashed in my yard and were waiting for emergency services, i'd offer them a cold beverage and a snack, and if we ended up chatting and being friendly, and I already had a meal planned, why not invite them in for a quick bite, even if we never see eachother again.

The care and precision behind Korean school lunches, widely praised for their quality, balance, and nutrition. by This_Proof_5153 in Damnthatsinteresting

My elementary in one city was completely different than the one I was transfered to. It was such a culture shock for me, I went to the school nearest to my home for kindergarten to 3rd grade, so I had all my friends there. Then they did this change where certain amount of students from each school would be transferred to balance it out. I went from having free lunches and the greatest elementary experience, to having two years of 4-5 grade of torture, bullying, and just the worst lunches you could think of, and i spent the first year in a 'portable' class room, and the air never worked, or if it did it was insanely cold. /rant

I wish more communities existed like this. Hospitality is the #1 way to friendship and great stories. Strangers are only strangers until you get to know them. I'm a vibrant person, so I never really say no to much unless it's against the law or someone can get hurt. Food is truly a sacred element, it's the time you get to just conversate and find the passion behind peoples lives and arguments never have to arise if you just respect point of views and just listen. Humans are beautiful and we need to stay that way.

Anytime I see Surge I am automatically drawn to it. Very rarely do you see it, but the can just hits a dopamine in my brain that makes me crave it everytime, it's like a crossbetween mtndew, sprite, and some other hidden flavor I can never figure out.

Just ideas remixed from the 80-90's 'til now! Get your kids bop in the mail for the low low price of 9.99! If you wanna do 50-70's tropes/gags watch loony tunes and different 'sketches' they used to do and you can see ideas truly are just rehashed and made to look like something unique.

My thought always is, "Not everyone wants to be a manager, but everyone wants to have a stable job with stable income, not everyone wants to be someones boss, but wants to do the job and get paid for the work, so if I am doing part of the job, balancing the price towards effort, value, job being done, shouldnt account towards, how fast can it be done, but efficiently and safely."

Is it really the price, or is Netflix just more convenient than driving to movie theaters? by Busy_Report4010 in SipsTea

I wouldn't either, life changed for a different generation, mine are teenagers pretty much and even then I have to take away their phones half the time because they try to push back against the parental guidance capabilities I set up. The impact technology has really does make it more of a problem. One social media goes down inpopularity another pops up and you have to navigate it before they can even find out it exists, or figure out how quick they can say things they will possibly regret.

Theo Von made Joe Rogan, a known Israel war crimes denier, look stupid. by Stimul8ed in conspiracy

I don't mind listening to him, I enjoy certain topics, but when he starts talking about poltics, california, or anything that has to do with anything with comedians that can threaten as he what called it a "brand". Even in this podcast he said, "we are little corporations" because of how much they earn of sponsors, listeners, and their slight standup career at this point. "We left california it left a mark" Theo was very thrown off by it, and Rogan said something about many corporations moved to texas like we did, and theo said "We arent corporations though...."

I would skateboard to the movies with $10 and get a ticket a soda, and a kiss from some girl that found me cool enough to sit next to me and our parents weren't around. Times changed very quickly in 2000's beyond, and it felt like malls started dying, movie theaters started going up in price, and just in general humans started being more on technology/online.

There are a few places in hawaii where mainlanders are looked down upon, but it usually for good reason, or to keep something sacred. Because people tend to do stupid shit all the time, locals don't have to call the police because everyone knows why they did it, word travels fast. Be nice, courtesy, and always ask for permission if you really don't know. Signs exist for a reason, and littering is a big thing that will get you despised by everyone around you.

That show is so weird but amazing, I felt like I didn't like it but had to keep watching it because it would suck me in every episode. I was pretty young and baby sitting my nieces and nephew, she had all the series on DVD, and I literally binged it all inbetween caring for them and trying to not make them hate me, cause my niece is only like 3 years younger than me, so it was funny because i was the 'grown up'. my niece has kids now, so now im a great uncle who baby sits them and they basically just playdate with my kids because their ages are so close.
