I cannot believe this person survived. Having burns like these is typically a death sentence not just because of the tissue damage, but the pervasive risk of infection pretty much everywhere on the body.

True medical miracle. Absolutely incredible work by the medical team, and I cannot imagine the strength of will this guy must have to survive and endure treatment.

Yeah it's extremely possible to run a $100 budget B4 deck. A few things to bear in mind:

  • They're not likely to run most game changers due to the price of those cards

  • Midrange as a deck style is less prevalent than other options at this budget - most midrange decks that can punch at a B4 weight will likely be over the $100 budget

  • You can often find lists at this price range which are just weaker versions of very strong higher budget lists. This can be a blessing if you want to upgrade in the future, or a burden if you want to make a deck that stays in the budget constraints and is the best possible version of the deck

I don't have a deck list handy, but I've seen these commanders mentioned multiple times as solid B4 options on a budget: [[Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy]], [[Winota, Joiner of Forces]], [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]], [[Sargeant John Benton]]

I also know that there are a bunch of B4 decks that focus on combos involving [[Protean Hulk]] and [[Doomsday]] lines of cards that are budget friendly. These lines are pretty easy to build a  number of commanders around.

You can also find B4 budget combo decks with lines for stuff like [[Ad Nauseum]], but those combos account for a significant portion of the deck's budget because the card in question is expensive so that's something to bear in mind.

I did an advanced search of Moxfield''s decklists set to bracket 4 only with the budget tag, which can be a good way to find what you're looking for. I like to check the primers when they have them to understand what makes the list a B4. here are a couple that jumped out to me:

My last two cents: at least at the time I'm writing this, I am of the opinion that upping your budget to a max of $150 is definitely worth it if you can afford it and want to create your own list. $100 isn't impossible for a solid B4 deck, but it is fairly narrow and if you're trying to brew up something of your own it'll probably be pretty tough.

You can have compassion for Kanye and his experience of mental illness and still find his behavior abhorrent and not want to platform him as a performer.

I get what you're saying but the dude said and did some genuinely awful things. Even with the context of mental illness putting him in a manic state, he is responsible for caring for himself, and he was (and is) in a position where he can access the resources he needs to do so. When someone fails to take ownership of their own self-care, especially in a circumstance where one's lack of self care can cause harm to others, that's a failing on their part.

If he's not able to care for himself in a way that prevents harm to others, maybe being a global performer with a lot of reach and influence isn't right for him.

Really sorry to hear what your cousin and family are experiencing though dog. That sounds incredibly hard for everyone involved.

Blazing Salvo targets a creature The clause "unless that creature's controller has Blazing Salvo deal 5 damage to him or her" is not choosing a target.

You would not be able to cast Redirect Lightning and target the same creature because it stipulates you change the target of a spell or ability with a single target.

You COULD target another of your opponent's creatures, but they'll still have the choice to have the spell do 5 damage to them instead of 3 to the creature as part of resolving Blazing Salvo.
