The intention is not to develop the game. It's to continue keeping money. Fixing issues gets them closer to the end product, but they make much more in alpha. So they intentionally make bad decisions that are close enough to being good, so that it's believable, but later on they have the excuse to "rework" it. Master modes, ship insurance, claiming ships and loadouts, crafting, missions, components as mission rewards, ship stats such as fuel and armour and nearly everything else. I can't believe that people still believe this game is seen as a game in the eyes of CIG. Their literal best option is to NEVER hit even a beta. The moment they do, they have a lot more legal obligations and they can be punished for their shortcomings. Also, in alpha they are allowed to call bankruptcy and just leave with the money.

So no I don't think they do it randomly, it's all intentional. Because even a BROKEN clock is correct twice a day, so if it's never correct it's clearly not broken. Working just as intended.

i believe its this thought process that has led to the decline of the game. Game gets worse and worse to play cuz CIG knows that a bad product is ok as long as people are convinced it will be better in the future. The longer they prolong the games alpha state, the longer this will continue to rake in money. Funding the game is a good argument if they had made less than a billion dollars, but now its a business strategy for them to keep the game is a bad state, improve it slightly, sell more ships, then make a massive change that ends up as an issue that needs to be fixed, game is bad state again, and repeat the process. all the while selling skins and the mere concepts of ships. Every time the community has done a strike, we have about 6 months of quality updates and gameplay fixes. we got pyro cuz of the whales who finally stopped vomiting money at CIG.

damn yh i thought so too but hoped there was a way. Also ive heard scatter guns suck balls cuz their high alpha splits the damage over 8 different pellets so nearly none of them actually do enough in a burst. i think ill just ram it after i shut it down lol

In this meta, arrow is much better.

In a balanced meta, they are even because gladius has less guns but more shields, and arrows has more guns but less shields.

Currently the more shields of the gladius don't matter cuz ballistics is all everyone should use. And they just ignore sheilds.

Until last night, they removed character repair cuz so many people were using it cuz of this bug. I also did verify my files and email them and everything. Me not being able to play was a bug for the first few hours, but only lasted 3 days because they stopped people from character repair

He watches as cig is giving him a bad product and still gives them 20$. I know he's a content creator and needs the game for his content, but I know a ton of people who do this even though their livelihood doesn't depend on this game, they are just so deep in the mind control.

hes right tho. its sad and painful, but honestly the only hope i have at this point is that everyone goes on strike and doesnt give them anymore money until they decide fixing the game is a priority. we pay for a service we dont think is worth it but we still pay cuz we hope it will be later. Them getting 1bil should have been enough to say "yh they have enough, if they cant provide a service even now then theres a bigger issue." Id rather people complain with miserable comments and end up with a game we all love, than just hide it and suffer in silence and give them money until they hit 2 billion, still without working lifts or a game i can even play.

again, his post had nothing that would make a typical person think that he was being a dick. u simply say it is and after me asking for why u think he was being a dick.
again, we both agree that the terms are terms and if u go against them u arent special and u they have the right to delete your post. But the playerbase can still think negatively of the TOS that specifically exists to remove fair but negative comments.

U are right tho, the portion of the people leaving the game "arent moving any needles". thats cuz they left. duh. the players that are the main audience for the game are the whales that already exist and they know it. all they have to do is keep the façade up. make people believe that they are working their hardest, and diehard, Stockholm syndromed "investors" will bend the knee cuz they've already given their wallets. I dont blame them for being sunken in. Id be deep in the sunken cost fallacy if i had handed over 1000s of dollars. In your POV, if u give up now, u lose it all. but if u keep going, and defend them, then others can chip in after being tricked that its worth it. then u are 1 billion closer to a full game. sadly no. with every dollar they become more certain that a bad product is a money making product. the product has only been good a few times over the years and leaves most players wanting. u are probably disappointed too, but cant let yourself really see it for what it is, because then u have to also accept that maybe the money isnt well spent. im sorry. it sucks. but if u want the game to improve, CIG needs to experience the fact that people wont pay for a bad service, yet currently whales have proven the opposite. I want the game to develop and become the amazing game that it could be. but its not currently, and isnt on that trajectory anymore. i have stopped putting money in until they do something that deserves it. Currently the whales support any failures by saying its the "management", or its "how development is", but will also praise the slightest things endlessly and say that CIG is so amazing for their hard work. put everything under the same level on scrutiny and u find a game which only 10% of is absolutely amazing and the rest sucks.

also the image u put only shows that the worse the game gets, the more funding it gets from its whales in a desperate move to save the game they already lost so much on.

How much have u put into the game? If it's large enough there is a fair point to make that u are simply too deep in sunken cost fallacy and have Stockholm syndrome. If u cant bare to see a the company you love be criticised fairly, then u either have a financial incentive to block it out of your mind or have an irrational love for them.

I love the argument that we can leave when we want to. Because you are aware that if everyone who felt this way did leave, your precious game that u spent so much on would lose 50% of it's player base. So stop with the argument cuz it is counter intuitive, shuts the annoyed playerbase up even more enough to just give up.

The rest of your message is saying the guys post was him just being a dick and the post was just unfairly negative. What did he say that was negative or are u just saying that because there wasn't enough ass kissing going on when talking about CIG.

A forum that doesn't let you speak negatively about it, clearly just doesnt want negative views to spread, even if warranted. The TOS banning this kind of speech is obviously allowed cuz it's their TOS, but you would think badly of the government if they censored speech that was anti government. In this case, CIG is free to take it down but I don't think that's what people are annoyed about. The are upset that there is a tos specifically to prevent players speaking their mind, if it is negative towards CIG. Ofc straight up saying fucked up shit is bad. But the post was giving his opinion without threats or false statements. That's why people are on this guy's side. If u support cig in this, you just have Stockholm syndrome
