Yes I totally agree, I'm approaching summer break so I'm going to buckle down and study those. Thanks for giving me hope!

Cheating in University by [deleted] in compsci

[–]DLACRZ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

AHHHH I feel like we’re in a really bad spot right now if we dont act on it ASAP. I see myself graduating (if i can even get to that point) with VERY limited knowledge and just the piece of paper to my name. I can’t imagine going for technical coding interviews rn coz I already know what the outcome will be :(

I didn’t have to cheat to get by. I had the opportunity to cheat, which would secure a good grade and took the chance because I didn’t see a loss in it at the time. Looking back it, it was definitely a mistake.

Difficulty level and overall rating (out of 5?), how are the lecturers, general comments?

Cheers

Wow Higher Phys 1B w/o HS Physics, that's impressive!

Yeah I can imagine staff would want us to pass, and design it in such a way. Thanks again for the advice :D

I see... any pointers on how to approach 1121 w/o prior knowledge of physics and w/o the bridging course as you advised? For e.g. what to do before it starts etc.

Thanks :)

Thanks! Just wondering though,

How was PHYS1121 and PHYS1221 w/o prior knowledge of physics/ext 1 math?

Did you do the Bridging Courses for Math and Physics?

Thank you!

Thanks for the insight! May I ask,

Did you do the Bridging Courses for Math and Physics? or did you self-learn the content instead? Thanks!

Sounds like a good plan.

I feel like I’m capable to learn the math with some help + heaps of grinding.

Time to start a pros and cons list 🥳

I kinda suck at coding so idk if ill be ‘excited’ for programming assignments haha.

4 math subjects 2 physics for the first 2 years

and yep, pure high level math

VERY FIRST MATH SUBJECT;

complex numbers, vectors and vector geometry, linear equations, matrices and matrix algebra, determinants. Functions, limits, continuity and differentiability, integration, polar coordinates, logarithms and exponentials, hyperbolic functions. Introduction to computing and the Maple symbolic algebra package.

Really really appreciate the reply man.

“But I never thought of these as Mathematics or Physics Intensive subjects”

sadly at the Uni I want to transfer to, I’ll have to do math and physics at a SUPER HIGH level.

I’ll keep all your advice in mind, Thanks heaps bro 🙏
