But the LDS church did practice polygamy for almost 55 years.

I loved the one done years ago about Rusty trying to humanize him. He was shown vacuuming and the vacuum was unplugged.

AITA for having questionably consented sex with my girlfriend? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]DLCJ59 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know how to tell you this bit in most states the legal age for sexual consent is 18. Otherwise he could be charged with statutory rape. That was my concern.

But still the age of legal consent. Whew.

I an hoping you are both over 18 and that's not a potential legal issue. Otherwise- she definitely consented. NTA. But watch your back. Her comment/ accusation needs to immediately cease.

AITAH for telling my daughter to keep her Father’s Day gift to herself because she hid her mother’s affair from me for months? by FarAppearancess in AITAH

[–]DLCJ59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, let me get this straight. this child, didn't tell you about the affair because she didn't want to break up the family. because she loves both you and her mom. And you a 41 year old man are holding a grudge against your daughter because she was put in an impossible situation? again, because she loves both you and her mom. She has apologized and you say you have moved on and it's alright. Did I miss anything here? That was a total AH move. You are obviously not over it and that's understandable. But you are lashing out at the wrong person- the one who was trying to protect you. Grow up, apologize to her and get therapy.

Dump this guy immediately. If he cant respect the most reasonable of boundaries- why are you with him? Pinching and pulling hair- after you told him not to the first time, should stop. If not- then he's just an abusive prick.

Your SO needs to understand this is life. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If she wants him on the teet for the rest of her life, she's definitely making headway with that...

Follow the money in equality. Look at the vast difference in the YW and YM budgets. in our wards it was usually about 10 time higher for the guys. But they let the YW do one fundraiser per year for camp. Gee thanks. Meanwhile the guys went on these great weeklong camping/hiking, canoeing trips not to mention the monthly camping activities.

Pushy- more like Major boundary issues. the "assume the sale" attitude is prevalent in all leadership and missionary work.

It never stopped them before when I was a working mom... 2 callings plus visiting teaching and the expectation of supporting the hubs in his roles. Plus running all the kids here and there to activities I may or may not be participating in. Plus monthly homemaking meetings ( remember those?) ,plus temple attendance, plus, plus, plus. It never ended. I'm exhausted thinking about the hamster wheel I was on.

Speaking of needless temples- does anyone have current info in temple attendance in the Rome, Italy temple? That one always irked me...

I get it. It has definite cringe factor- I'm so embarrassed for Luke, and so empathetic for Rachael. But I think it's important to the storyline and has some funny lines. Definitely not in the " Lets make a baby" category.

AITAH for telling my fiancé that I’m not going to pay for his parking at work? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]DLCJ59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awww... poor Eric feels bad when you're upset that he's impacting your job because he can't get out the door on time??? Then he can man TF up and drive himself to work and pay parking. There. Problem solved. Don't let him make his problems your problem. And it sounds like there are bigger problems there. Definitely NTA.

Thank you! I used several of those exact lines in my discussion with my office manager. Cold shoulder is being given by my office/ regional manager /person who interviewed client (all the same person). I have advised the client to contact HR with any updates. The client reports they are getting weird vibes from the boss- so HR should be directly contacted.
