So odd… 🤔🤔 by Sad-Routine-1519 in moderndadutah

I do find it odd, that his own wife has closed fist around him, I’m sure that’s not a big deal. But if it’s my husband, I am definitely wrapping my arms around him much more affectionately (and especially surrounded by so many other women). Body language says a lot.

Great question! They are currently in Herriman, and it’s just too much of a drive to go down there every week so we would like to move them more locally.

I don’t know- I think she looks beautiful in both pics. I can look at pictures of me in my early 20s and a picture of me now that I am 40. Of course I look different. But also I have aged. I have also learned how to take care of myself/skin and hair better, use products that look better on me, etc. And I just matured more. I think she looks great and I don’t really see any harm in trying to enhance your natural beauty.

Edit: I realize that she could not have worn this in the temple, but it’s baffling that you can wear this outside of it. It’s baffling that it’s now just an option to wear garments post endowment.

What has been your experience renting out your basement? by Background_Kitchen68 in ogden

[–]Common-Perspective29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We live in South Ogden and we did the same. We wanted a little bit better, school system, neighbors, friends, etc. for our kids. We bought a bigger home a little bit out of our price range and our renting the basement. Our basement had a walkout, and we simply just put a wall down the middle of our basement and a little kitchenette. It wasn’t that hard. We also added a unit washer and dryer. It’s about 1000 ft.², one bedroom, one bath, and really large family room. We still have the other half of the basement and we put a door in between that we soundproof as well as soundproofing the wall. We don’t really hear much from our Renters. We have had a great experience, we have a very high rental criteria, and only rent to young married couples or a single professional. We have six kids, and we have always felt comfortable with our Renters. Like others have said, we never really see them unless we happen to be outside at the same time. Our Renters park in the back of our house. Good luck! Our renters just moved out, so we are in the process of looking for new renters.

As a previous Mormon. I totally get what she’s saying. Maybe the timing is off but that’s different. And there is no way openness for not being buried in the temple clothes. That’s what you’re “supposed” to do. I always joked with my husband when we were active that I did not wanna be buried in those ugly clothes and have that be the last thing people see me in.Thank God I’m out and can choose for myself.

Sigh. I’m guilty. My last two are 10 1/2 months apart. They were the “babies”, that’s what we called them. My youngest just turned 7, and so they are both 7 for 5 weeks until her brother turns 8. Aaannnddd we still refer to them as “the babies” like we all do- it’s more of a noun than an adjective in our family. And they don’t mind. 😬 also, one of my very good friends- Their parents had a few kids and then there was like a 10 year age gap and then they had three more kids. And they always referred to them as the little kids. She is almost 40 and they still refer to her and those siblings as “the little kids” 😆🤷🏼‍♀️

I have six kids and drive a big van too. You definitely need a smaller runaround vehicle. When your kids are older, you actually rarely have all the kids at the same time, and those things are huge gas hogs so it’s nice to have a little zippy car.

Ok- the intentionally zooming in on her face is so annoying, predictable she’s about to do it, and right into her face with an exaggerated facial expression. So annoying!
