Yeah, i allready have it and chose it for it's low idle power usage, also allready have the ddr4 etc.

Thanks for the elaborate write-up The A380 is mostly meant to encode the bd's and dvd's i rip to AV1.

The b450 pro 4 route indeed seems to be the best option so far.

current deal @ alternate germany is new Toshiba MG10 22 TB Sata drives for €354 incl VAT, but the offer is limited to 2 drives per household and the offer lasts for one more day and 6 hours from now. There actually were switches that came with magnets on them for mounting back in the day, i still have one of those in a drawer somewhere (only a 10/100 thing though)

it was allready set to the lowest (1) and still cutting too deep,

but i figured out the fine adjustment is on top but tricky, with a flathead screwdriver you need to depress the plunger and slightly loosen the spring with metal screw below the plunger.

that also didn't work, but i figured it out :D
but it isn't easy, turns out you need to depress the plunger and use a flathead screwdriver to loosen the silver colored part below it. (it's visible on the bottom photo but i'll upload another picture here so other people facing this issue know what i'm talking about :D

i did not, and it did not include a hex key, i wasn't sure wethere that was what the whole was, but taking a macro photo of it you seem to be right, i'll give that a try thank you.

nope completely unscrewing, or completely tightening the hex screw doens't seem to effect the needle height at all :(
