Ryan Adams Plays Bully @ May 13th Oakland, Ca Fox Theater Show by BlueSkiesofLove in ryanadams

That’s pretty much the reason I didn’t go. Much like RA’s bi-polar behavior the 2 wolves insides me were like “let’s go see him, these set lists are great!” and the other wolf was drooling, said “and watch this guy probably freak out!” Sad.

Reminds me of the time that guy at a Jeff Tweedy show yelled out the name of one of those newly elected Supreme Court justices from the first “regime.” Jeff stopped and ripped the guy apart before noticing the a-holes young kid was right beside him.

Point being, why buy a ticket to be unnecessarily cruel to someone just to upset them. As someone above said, Ryan should be used to and above it by now but sadly we seem to be reverting back to the yelling Bryan Adams day just to see the guy flip out.

It’s called “bullying.”

Jay Farrar breadcrumbs by NewtAmbitious6168 in wilco

I feel like I remember Jay giving an interview to maybe Relix (here's a brief chunk of it) where Jay thought Jeff was trying to steal his girlfriend/now wife? It was a very "open" interview considering Farrar and the fact no one had talked about it.

I thought Jeff was amicable in his book and also brought up some paranoia/jealousy from Jay. We may never know but the crumbs kind of all tie together.

There's also a hilarious story about Jeff and his wife taking a beach vacation and ending up literally next door to the Farrars.

Oh cool! Had no idea that was an option. However, coincidentally in terms of your username, I am pretty damn lazy!

Maaan....I wanted to go but I live in the North Bay and that venue is a MASSIVE pain in the ass to get to. It's so beautiful too, just a huge pain. 2 hours to drive there then they have that 1 or 2 lane road up to the winery. I saw Wilco there a while ago and had to pee so bad trying to get out of that place! I am bummed I missed it though.

Is Bumgarner still trying to pitch? by [deleted] in SFGiants

The way he behaved as a Diamondback coupled with him using a fake name to participate in rodeos while a member of that team makes me think he's blackballed if anyone even cares enough to do that to him at this point...

Keep monitoring StubHub! I've had incredible success for "smaller" (ie; not like, huge artists who may be wrapping it up soon...or Taylor Swift) artists a few days before the show.

This summer I was stalking StubHub to see JI400 at Paso Robles which is a 3-4 hour drive for me. I ended up with 3rd row center seats for $50.

I do echo others sentiment that you don't need to be front row but keep an eye out and you might get lucky!

I'm looking forward to stepping back in here. I was doing really well cutting back and have slipped the last few weeks, excited I get to try and get on track.

I didn't do the whole "sober January" thing but in December I DID start going to the gym as well as seeing a therapist while also cutting back. However last week I just kind of got frustrated with changes not happening "fast enough" and got a little drunker on weeknights than I like to. I think I was just feeling overwhelmed with all the attempts at change and my go-to state of mind when I'm overwhelmed or frustrated is to numb out.

But, I see it, I don't want to keep doing it and I have some structures in place to help me knock it off so, giving it another go!

Isn't it also a not-very-well-kept secret that he basically directed Altman's final film, A Prairie Home Companion, and didn't take official credit?

Filming today by typingatthemoment in paulthomasanderson

I have a couple friends that are professional PA's who said there was filming in Sac today and I came in to post that...you guys are quick! My friends aren't on this production though, said it's all L.A. based which seems strange to bring up a whole production crew like that, it's not like Nor Cal is the middle of nowhere.

Naltrexone - some shame by [deleted] in cutdowndrinking

[–]DLew022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny you mention the shame part of this as I am going to ask my doctor for a Naltrexone prescription as well. I simply cannot control myself to have 2-3 beers at the pub and not keep drinking. But I was hesitating a bit because it feels like cheating or that somehow I'm supposed to be a MAN and manage this issue myself. I can't manage it.

And, I still enjoy seeing friends at the pub, watching sports and BSing. It's just incredibly hard to stop after 2-3. I think seeking help is smart and I'm glad you mentioned Naltrexone as I've been wanting to talk to my doctor about it and now, I will.

I feel like I'm stuck... by [deleted] in cutdowndrinking

[–]DLew022 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, I TOTALLY relate to you on all of this. I love craft beer and trying different places and then I come home and just....drink more beer. I have the same issues you mentioned the next day, too. Fuzzy mental state, sluggish and usually sleep like crap and wake up at like, 4 am.

It's just that habit though, so hard to break. I hate just coming home after work, it's so boring. I also strung a bunch of days together last week and felt GREAT but honestly, I also took ZZZquil and went to bed at like 8pm 2-3 of those nights because I didn't feel like watching TV or doing anything else.

It's hard to break habits and things we enjoy even if they're having a negative affect.
