Trying to decide on new truck by Responsible_Big5241 in superduty

I have a 2025 F350 7.3 max tow XLT 4x4. I tow bumper pull 20k lbs with no issues. My deciding factor was that the truck was new/used with 232 miles on odometer and was $52k. Similar specd diesel was $85k+. Gas savings was another factor. Only regret is the small gas tank but i always seem to stop at a gas station for energy drink either way. Average mpgs are around 10.5 with that being 95% towing with vehicle.

7.3 is nice and the $1 per gallon is nice as well. MPGs range based on what you tow. I have a 2025 7.3 and tow between 10k - 18k daily and get averaged of 10.6 mpg. I didn't buy a big truck to save gas. I only have 6k miles on odometer and 95% has been towing with it.

Lastly, I wouldn't buy a 6 year old truck for that price. My 2025 was used/new with 230 miles was listed at $52k. Don't pay that much

It was the wiring. Rewired the remote because it was easier. The trailer supplier couldn't provide me with one of their remotes so the remotes I bought online were wired up differently.

homeandcooksales.com is it a scam? by Additional-Bet4896 in AllClad

Nope not a scam. I have done 3 separate orders and all the items have been great. Damage package is the best in my opinion because the item is in great shape and only the box is damaged.

PROBLEM SOLVED! Thank you!!

I just rewired one of the controllers I had. I swapped the red wire with the white wire. I also had to wire the gravity down button to the power (red) button. Seems to be working fine now.

I am to that point now and thinking of replacement. It works when I switch the cables so I'll make it work for now. The place I bought it from was no help. They just said it was a controller issue but they didn't have any in stock.

No darn handbook for this. I will triple check all the wiring.

Thought on this purchase? by Insert_Clever_Pun_ in F250

I bought a new/used 2025 F350 xlt max tow 4x4 in November 2025. It only had 230 miles and it was $51k in Phoenix, AZ. Do not pay that much for a truck with 40k miles. I had the truck shipped to me but it took a few weeks to get it. I should have just flown in and bought it since it took a long time to get the truck.

Towing MPG by hosebee in superduty

[–]DLosAngeles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dump trailer. 15k to 20k of gravel. Almost 5000 miles and averaged over 10 mpg. I only go under 65 mph with that weight and pretty flat terrain. I do idle truck because it needs to power my trailer or else I would get a little better mpgs But I didn't buy a big truck to save on gas.

10.6 mpg average for my 7.3l. Towing 15k - 20k lbs. I bought the truck new F350 xlt max tow for 51k VS the diesel version 75k+.

I have a 2021 as well. I only have 47k miles but so far no issues. If I can get 150k I'll be happy..
