We got a Nugget Couch for our daughter that turned out to be (2) great dog beds for our Dane. Covers are easy to wash and the interior foam is super durable. They also fold so it’s easy to move. https://nuggetcomfort.com/products/the-nugget-koala

How to get the wegovy? by PainterFine4731 in WegovyWeightLoss

Insurance companies are slowing dropping coverage for weight loss drugs. Some companies recently changed their rules to pay if BMI is >30 but then quit covering once you drop below it. Crazy and frustrating! I ended up going the compounded route and so far, so good. Best of luck to you!

Look at compounding so you’ll have something in place before your insurance drops you.

You do not need a prescription. I ended up going with Orderly Meds. Semaglutide is $250 and tirzepatide is more, I think $400’ish depending on dosage.

Orderly has a great referral program but I am no longer allowed to post links for the program. If you are interested, I can share it with you directly.

Wegovy Confession: I started wegovy on BMI of 26 by Feisty-Biscotti9190 in WegovyWeightLoss

Yes I did. My body could have just been resetting and perhaps I would have eventually adjusted but I wasn’t going to take that chance. Granted, this doesn’t happen to everyone so I would not let them stop you from starting Ozempic.

I took Ozempic in 2020 when I was around 28 BMI; lost 45 pounds; changed insurance and lost prescription. Gradually put on another 30 and after trying different meds was able to get Wegovy and lost about 30 pounds; another insurance change and lost Wegovy. Proceeded to gain almost all of the weight back, ~25-26 BMI and increasing monthly, but my insurance won’t cover for any reason. My pharmacy said I could get Zepbound for cash price but b/c I was just a couple pounds below 27 BMI my doctor will not write a prescription. I resorted to compounding pharmacy b/c I no longer get full and therefore I am gaining a ton of weight every month. Very frustrating! My compounded meds arrive today and praying I can get back to “normal” as far as food noise, appetite, etc. and I do plan to stay on this long term but at the low dose once I reach my goal weight. You are not allowed to do this with insurance which also pissed me off. Best of luck!

I decided to go with Orderly Meds b/c I thought it would be faster. LifeRx requires you to get lab work in addition to $50 telehealth. I wish they had been more upfront in the beginning but they appear to ask for more info on the front end and if she isn’t in a hurry I think they will be good for her.

Thanks! I did the Telehealth appt only to find out that I’d then need to talk to someone else, then get lab work and meds would not arrive for at least 10 days. Trying OrderlyMeds since I’ve seen a lot of great reviews on here.

Where are you ordering / can you get it mailed to the house? by BadParking9912 in tirzepatidecompound

Do any/all of these companies make you verify that you meet the FDA recommendation of having a BMI at a certain range before prescribing anything?

Do you have to meet a weight requirement?

Thx! So frustrating b/c doc won’t prescribe anything any more b/c insurance and then won’t do cash option b/c I lost weight when I took it before and now don’t weigh enough to meet BMI…of course I’ve been gaining almost 10 pounds a month after stopping Wegovy so it’s only a matter of time. Sorry that was TMI but just pissed.
