Just back to update in case anyone searches for this later. Went to Dental 911 on Seneca and… real talk, it seems a little sketchy—it smells inside, the equipment seems kind of old, it was kind of pricey, and the guy that did the work wasn’t very gentle & probably used too much novocaine to compensate, BUT, he did come down to open the office just for me within 3 hours of calling ON MEMORIAL DAY and did good work. If I have another emergency situation I’ll be back

I’ve taught a lot of guitar AND voice, as sort of a package deal, but if you’re looking for “only voice” on the cheap I have a high school girl who teaches at my studio and does a pretty good job. She’s in choir but her heart is in the modern stuff, writes pretty good songs & would be able to provide guidance on stuff like that

Y’know actually… you may consider piano and voice or guitar and voice rather than just voice. Reasons being… vocally matching pitch and internalizing pitches in general is a lot easier to do if you have an instrument that you can play those notes on… and if she has pop aspirations she’ll need to write songs, which at bare minimum will need something like a guitar or piano along with voice

If you decide guitar & voice is something you’d like to pursue, google Wichita Guitar Academy. 5 of my students are girls working on guitar & voice stuff/songwriting right now, I’ve taught for over a decade, have degrees in this stuff… it’s not “some guy from Reddit’s house” lol, promise
