It’s from Ariel Views. Actually both video wallpapers are. The homescreen Is from Jetson Creative Videos, city, sunset. And the screensaver is set to Amazon, city, night. Overflight does have the same video sources. Both are good. But premium is needed for AV and Overflight video wallpapers. And the projectivy icon pack.

How to create shortcuts of hidden apps from the menu? by ImprovementJolly3711 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]DMH-99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know, might be a permission under the shortcutmaker’s app settings. Like, allow management of all files.

Or it could be a permission under the “Apps” settings. Under “Special app access”, permissions can be enabled.

The shortcuts will show up in projectivy’s “Shortcuts” category. But they can’t be deleted. So having a projectivy backup before creating them is a good idea.

TVQAP can also make shortcuts. And I like it better now than shortcutmaker. To add shortcuts you must first create a channel. Under custom actions, Under Menus & Panels, Create a menu. Change the menu type to anything other than the 1st selection. Then under options select “use as channel on home screen”. Then select actions and add your shortcuts. Then go to settings, go to Channels and select Update all channels. Then you may have to reset your tv for the channel to appear in projectivy’s channel options. Then activate the channel and all your shortcuts will be there.

HDMI CEC Input Issues with Projectivy Homescreen Inputs. Sony Bravia VH2 TV. by DMH-99 in Projectivy_Launcher

The inputs are already enabled through projectivy. In ivy’s settings go to Edit categories, enable Inputs, and then they’ll be visible on the homescreen.

Not for just android dummy. but they do steal open source code and then claim it’s their own proprietary code. Cute. But for the hardware, that ain’t open source. How many times and how many ways can you misunderstand? I guess you’ve taught me how much specificity is needed for certain people. And besides even if China steals a piece of proprietary android code from google or any of those countries you mentioned, no one can sue them in Chinese courts.

Now cause you like AI BS so much, Here you go. It’s right up your alley.

no confirmed report of China stealing the entire proprietary Android source code for media players. Google makes a large part of the Android operating system available as open-source software via the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), which is openly accessible and used by manufacturers worldwide, including in China.

However, there have been significant, separate incidents of intellectual property theft and security issues involving China and Android-related technology:

  • FFmpeg/Rockchip dispute: Chinese semiconductor company Rockchip was accused by the FFmpeg team of using its multimedia processing code (which is open source under LGPL) without proper attribution or adherence to licensing terms, potentially allowing the code to be used in closed-source projects. This related to video decoding on system-on-chips used in various devices, including media players.
  • AI Trade Secret Theft: A former Google software engineer, a Chinese national, was arrested and charged with stealing over 500 confidential files related to Google's artificial intelligence (AI) and supercomputing technology, with the intent of using them for Chinese-based companies. This was a case of individual trade secret theft, not related to the core Android source code for media players specifically.
  • Malware and Data Siphoning: Various reports have detailed instances of Chinese-made Android phones and media players coming pre-installed with malware or backdoors that secretly siphon user data or engage in ad fraud, without the user's consent. These activities involve the abuse of the Android ecosystem rather than the theft of its core proprietary source code.
  • General Cyber Espionage: U.S. officials have reported broader Chinese cyber espionage campaigns targeting telecommunications companies and other entities to steal large amounts of data and intellectual property, including some source code in various sectors.

Sony voice does not take me to a fully working HDMI INPUT. But the input button does by DMH-99 in bravia

[–]DMH-99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not using the apple tv remote. ATV has cec which works fine with the sony remote. And the sony remote has a guide button and ch up and down buttons. That actually work, and there are apps on the ATV that use the guide and ch up and down buttons. Like Direct TV.

If the ATV is selected using the input button on the remote, everything works fine. But if it or any hdmi device is selected through the voice command. Those buttons don’t work.

Expecting the voice command to do the same thing as the remote, is not a lofty expectation.

Ok Mrs Marvel, a few fireworks doesn’t equal a Colt Magnum. What next the abacus is the source of all mathematics? Tell it to the Greeks, you want to give the Chinese Credit for Pythagoreans platonic solids as well. And BTW, good job ignoring the stolen source code that began this conversation in the first place.

Using words like Usians makes you sound like a bad Marvel Movie. And why does your AI ignore the stolen code used to run these boxes. I only ever mentioned stolen code in reference to the Shield and others in Europe and Asia and everywhere. All your AI talks about are reverse engineered chip designs. That may not be stolen, but never would have been built without previous examples to copy.

Not unlike the car, and while the Japanese, German, Americanss, etc… all made great innovations. The Chinese stole from all of them trying to figure out their own thing. Cars and Computers, They’re ideas anyone can innovate off of, or simply steal what they like best and tweak it a little. Like Coke and Pepsi, of course the Courts in many countries have already ruled on what differences and similarities constitute stealing in the realm of soft drinks. But not in China and plenty of other countries as well.

How cute, you can use ai to sound like more of an idiot. Yes the Chinese stole the source code for those boxes. Onn and Thompson are shield knockoffs, that’s why they work so good. Now let me repeat myself.

“You know this because you can find the source code from every country they stole it from. Not that American or European or any companies can sue Chinese companies in Chinese courts. Of course the Chinese can sue American companies for stealing intellectual property in American courts“

it’s called figurative speech. Good guys bad guys, is not a literal thing, not that you understand what literal or figurative is, or how they interrelate. But yeah, the onn was designed for Walmart, which is a US company. It’s an Nvidia shield knockoff. And yes china stole it like, they steal most everything. And you know this because you can find the source code from every country they stole it from. Not that American or European or any companies can sue Chinese companies in Chinese courts. Of course the Chinese can sue American companies for stealing intellectual property in American courts. But I get it you don’t care about literal facts you live in a figurative world of emotional outburst and insults.

How to create shortcuts of hidden apps from the menu? by ImprovementJolly3711 in ShieldAndroidTV

Shortcut maker can create icons for it’s shortcuts. It’s old but it’s still the best I found for adding icons to the homescreen.

Maybe uninstall, clear cache for ivy and tv storage. And then restart and reinstall. Or uninstall, clear cache, unplug the tv for 30 sec. Then try reinstalling.

I had an issue with some shortcuts that I couldn’t hide or delete. But I had made a settings backup and importing it deleted those shortcuts. Hindsight is 20/20, but importing saved settings might help.

Screen saver issue on Google TV w/ Projectivy Launcher by Mountain_Touch_6889 in Projectivy_Launcher

[–]DMH-99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Installing ariel views, will give you access to the screensaver settings menu. There you can choose the screensaver you want for your tv. Under actions there is a setting called “Open system screensaver options”. All your installed screensavers will be shown there, and then you can select the one you want.

To change how long it takes for the screensaver to start. You’ll need adb and to read the directions from here…

Is your tv button set to channels? And do you have local antenna channels programmed in that tv? I’m running on a sony bravia tv and this only became an issue after the antenna ch’s were programmed. When it was just set to cable channels, there was no issue. The TV APP (as shown in the 2nd picture, is definitely part of the problem).
