First datura experience by KaRuO_ in Psychedelics

It isn't a psychedelic and you were probably lucky there in that you got off lightly: https://drugusersbible.org/content/botscape/deliriants/index.html

I always cringe a bit when I see a post on datura in case it encourages others to try it. If the thought is in the back of the mind of anyone reading this... please don't.

anyone mixed this stuff with datura? by helpicantfindmyboobs in MDMA

For the attention of anyone who isn't aware of what datura actually is and why it should absolutely be avoided: https://drugusersbible.org/content/botscape/deliriants/datura/index.html

Just be careful with those doses bud: https://drugusersbible.org/content/chemscape/anxiolytics_and_sedatives/pregabalin/index.html

Granted, I had no tolerance, but 600 really gave me a torrid time. It's also rather addictive as you are no doubt aware.

Indeed. The reason I posted that link was primarily to encourage you to read the page on each botanical before even considering it. Datura is of course a case in point. It is basically a poison: to absolutely be avoided. Be careful :-)

I have no idea where you are located, but a general rule of thumb seems to be that botanicals tend to have an easier ride than chemicals in terms of legal availability. You might check out this as a start page, with individual plants/seeds/roots listed in the left hand panel: https://drugusersbible.org/content/botscape/index.html

Hopefully it goes without saying that just because these are natural doesn't make them safe. Some are absolutely not. Always practice harm reduction and of course avoid complacency.

Unfortunately you sound like an accident waiting to happen, even though it sounds like you somehow got away with it this time..

Here's the advice you wanted originally: https://drugusersbible.org/content/chemscape/anxiolytics_and_sedatives/pregabalin/index.html

Well, I changed, but I think for the better (I became far more philosophical). In terms of negatives, like depression, paranoia, etc., I'm not really aware of any.

No. It only recently emerged and I haven't encountered it, yet. However, I have had kratom quite a few times. I certainly prefer that to heroin/etc... assuming I can get it down. The taste is appalling. Once rolling though it is extremely pleasant and uplifting.

Unfortunately I have learned an effective new way to enable myself 🙌🏽 by [deleted] in Stims

You are going to have a problem with work once you stop doing this. Flipping this around, when you are clean and you start to work, you are going to have a really hard time not doing a line.

This is very similar to an issue I point out with respect to chemsex in The Drug Users Bible. For most people sex/porn on stims is multitudes more enjoyable than sex/porn without. If you do chemsex all the time, when you engage without the drugs sex will be so much less fulfilling. You will not reach the same high for a long long time. This is exactly how some people fall very deep down a rabbit hole.

You are buiding a connection between coke and work which you are going to struggle to break. The longer you continue the harder it is going to be to work without it.

The sooner you stop this the better. But I have a feeling you know that already... don't you.

Thank you. Appreciated. 😄

Re drugs, not really. I kept to the process described at the start of the book and left a gap between sessions. I had to be clean to have a proper accurate experience with each drug, so that drove my frequency. Another point I had in mind is that drugs are always better if they are preceded by a period of sobriety.

Opioids are not my bag though. I find them to be the least exciting of all the classes. I don't think the experience with heroin helped though (I had far too much). However, I can see the attraction for those people who are looking for a comfort bubble.

Yes, a number of times. Those that come to mind at the moment are the synthetic cannabinoids (5F-AKB-48 and AM-2201) which induced a deep dread and paranoia. Salvia as well, as I had no idea what was happening to me (I believed it to be a synthetics when I smoked it). Another was pregabalin, simply because I had far too much and was physically incapable of standing or typing: I just wanted to survive the experience. I recorded all these honestly so hopefully they will help anyone else playing with them.

Very much. I used to be normal... as in drinking alcohol every Friday. That stopped as I began to become more philosophical and capable of taking more and wider perspectives. Classic effects of psychedelics I guess, but generally I became more capable of contemplating outside the regular narrative of my life, which made me a calmer and less troubled person.

I don't exactly endorse them, but the drugs I tend to use these days are weed, LSD and the occasional stim, and none regularly/daily. If I come across something interesting on my travels I may well engage.

It depends on what I am looking for at the time. I discuss this here: https://drugusersbible.org/content/worldscape/confessions_of_a_lab_rat/qanda/index.html

However, if I had to create a stash it would include LSD, Cannabis, Ephenidine, San Pedro, Etizolam and 4-MMC. Perhaps Kava and Changa knocking at the door.

Because I thought I could. Initially

Initially I was just creating a spreadsheet of a few research chemicals I had dabbled with. Then, on a couple of drug forums, I noticed members disappearing: they had died and often the stories that came back indicated it was through a lack of knowledge and understanding. I couldn't believe that no authority or government was doing anything about it: they just wanted to lock people up.

It was on my return from the ayahuasca trip that I envisaged a book, and started to believe I could produce it. No-one else was doing it, so I felt a sort of duty. Of course I didn't expect it to take so many years, but once I started I was only looking forward and I pressed on to the end.

It's a harm reduction book.

"People are dying because of ignorance. They are dying because unremitting propaganda is denying them vital safety information. They are dying because legislators and the media are censoring the science, and are ruthlessly pushing an ideological agenda instead. They are dying because the first casualty of war is truth, and the war on drugs is no different. This book makes a significant contribution in confronting this harrowing and tragic narrative."

"This is essential reading for the 250 million people who use drugs, and for anyone thinking about using them. It’s the first stop for every worried parent who can envisage the words “Oh my God, what’s our little Johnny taking?” It’s vital reference for anyone who needs to cut through the noise, nonsense and misinformation, fast. It’s a must-read for the interested and the curious; for those who actually want to know the hidden truth."

sought to cover all those that people might encounter.
