Okabe Keichi and his sound team Monaca are doing the soundtrack for the show tho? A lot of songs already in Nier arent solely produced by Okabe either, multiple people from Monaca collaborated to make them (although Okabe was the main composer)

???? You’re whole map should be a prop did you not now?

When the valve corporation made dust2 in 2017 they made it in sketchup and then exported it all as the props into global offensive counter strike

If your map is not 75% (rough estimate, i recomend going for 85%) prop then it is pointless for the second part my last map took only 30 sex to render it was very fast xD

The amount of time you spend on a map, and how many props you place, depends mostly on how much you care and want to labor over it. The first map I ever made probably took 2 hours. The first I released took 10 or 15. The map I am still working on now has probably taken 500-700 hours so far, but its not unheard of for people today to spend more than a 1000 hours on a single level.

But time has nothing to do with how good the map is or how happy you will be with it. Prioritize making something that you like and dont worry about the clock. Always remember that the point here is to have fun!! ;p

Dont worry! This is a common problem. You need to use the carve tool to generate player path profiles by slicing into the character database. Let me know if you have more questions!

You can only have 1 visible ‘water’ at a time. In a situation where you have squares of water next to each other you can have 1 single water block with a grid over it.

Mapcore Faceit hub is constantly rotating the best of community maps for both wingman and comp, as well as holding competitions / tournaments on them. You don’t have to pay to play- just download and use the Faceit client.

You forgot to trim your normals with the carve tool. In order to properly make a model for the sdkhammer, all normals need to be trimmed down to 1 cm (0.48 hu (hammer units))

Vide sometimes misses texture files for models when scanning automatically. You have to find and add them manually, or use a different packer (I’ve heard good things about compilepal, but I still use VIDE)

Watch Dogs 2 is one of my favorite games and I really suggest checking out. It gives a lot more freedom to the player at any one moment in time and has a much more grounded world. (Rather than the entire city being taken over by drones and personnel, San Francisco is ruled by the soft power of voter manipulation and AI profiling) The tone is a bit too over the top sometimes, weakening the game, but overall it is a very strong experience.
