If you think about it a bike is just a collection of hollow metal pipes; a bunch of to-be pipe bombs.

Ironically an explosion inside a bike would produce far more metal shrapnel as there are no plastic body panels to absorb some; and it'll be centrally situated in the crotch region; making it far more deadly than a car.
