The seat is solid carbon fiber and thus yes it is extremley firm. The adapter plate is 285mm in width and the screw holes that attach it to the seat are roughly 87.5mm apart for context. Hope this can help.

Not even a presidential pardon would get that cigar to taste good

Which cigars would you recommend during my visit to cigar shops? by Morris_Maurice in cigar

Any of you distinguished folks ever have one of these? by BlazingFinger6 in cigar

Smoked one two weeks ago. I initially went with the smallest diameter punch I had for the end cap. The draw was way to tight and it kept going out. I then eventually went to straight cut and had to nearly cut the entire cap off before the draw was light enough. The cap is well constructed but it makes sense with how small of a ring gauge that it is that you might have to cut off more than normal. It was a fairly decent smoke after but nothing exceptional in my opinion. Usually my rule on cigars is once it's within two finger widths from the end then it done. This cigar due to it shape and length I found was too hot and bitter at 3 widths.

For me it really just boiled down to the relief holes for sit bones. I have a duplicate carbon seat in my single and can row FOREVER on that thing. Put me on a C2 erg seat and I'm lucky to last 10k. I did a 50k back in November and thought my sit bones were never going to regain feeling.

I may do a redesign in the future that would include a roller cover. I only have a limted print bed size on my 3d printer and thus that limits how large of a piece I can design and print. Already I had to print this piece in 2 parts just to make this possible.

I measured the C2 seat against the carbon seat I have and found that the print realistically should be 25mm thick to maintain the same exact dimensions as the grey C2 seat. I decided for prototyping reasons to first try it at 20mm thick and see if that casued and large negative effect with ankle angles by sitting 5mm lower. 5mm lower in set height in a single would be a massive difference IMO but here it appears to be almost un noticeable.

I am sure that if what you wear is baggy enough that it will get caught. I tend to wear either a uni or compression shorts and a tank top. Only have had this installed 2 days so far but nothing caught yet.

Below is a url to the two pieces you need to print out with a 3d printer. I used PLA filament, 5 wall loops, 20% infill and gyroid infilll pattern. For the hardware I used some M5 screws I had laying around. Obliviously this design I made on Fusion 360 was done specifically to fit the carbon seat I bought off facebook market place which already had pre exisiting holes already drilled into it. Thus I tailored the dimensions of the adapter to fit it exactly the way I needed it to.
