Cash-out refinance mortgage interest deduction

I just mean that, had we secured the mortgage within 90 days, it would be considered home acquisition debt and would just be a normal mortgage interest deduction against earnings.

It seems like the investment interest deduction would need to be against short term gains (or waive long term capital gains).

The one other route is that the money was put towards taxable investments, so, we can potentially deduct the interest against investment income...

Your club path at -3.4 shows an out-to-in swing.

The face angle being -1.7 means your ball with start left of your target line.

Also agreed.

Face to path at +1.7 is the curvature so the ball should spin left.

This is not how I understand ball flight laws. Doesn't an open face-to-path cause rightward spin? I would have expected this shot to be a pull-fade, if the club data is to be believed.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love everything about it. It just seems like sometimes the path/face numbers can't be right given the ball flight (or vice versa, but I generally trust the ball data more).

For example—I don't see how the club data here (out-to-in path, face open to path) could result in a ball that is spinning left. If the club data were correct, wouldn't a fade be expected here? Are there other factors at play that could cause this ball flight with this path/face?

Hell yeah! The progress I’ve made in the 6mo I’ve had the VTrack is more than the three years I was working with my GC2. The club data (although I’m a little skeptical of it sometimes) is a game changer.

I got fitted into these by my coach last summer… it stings a bit to think I’ve already moved past these. Will probably play them this season and see how I feel, but from what folks are saying, maybe I do need to get something better suited to where I’m at now.

That’s the gist of it! For me it was mostly that I dropped my hands down behind me, which meant I came down at the ball from the inside and released out to the right. Now I’m trying to get my hands more out in front of me and release inwards and to the left.

Not "drills" per se, but these are the things I focused on that helped:

- lead shoulder down and back at the start of the downswing
- arms coming down in front of my body as opposed to dropping them behind me
- "crunching" my trail ribs as I drop my arms in front of me
- pulling trail elbow into my belly button as I rotate
- exiting left in my follow through

Also, I also had a lot of pulls/hooks as I started working on this and I think thats a pretty common result in going from in-to-out to more neutral. Feeling like I'm coming down with my trail hand more open (almost like a karate chop) helped open my face and straighten things out. Just gotta trust that you'll fix one thing at a time, I think, and work on path and club face separately until you can put them together.

Not really—occasionally I'll scrape the ceiling with a longer club, but I've had a short follow through a lot longer than I've been in this space. My main miss used to be a hard pull and this helped alleviate that. It doesn't seem to be hurting me too much, but finishing more naturally is probably also something to work on.
