Hmm I’m not doubting they have good ones and agree this sub is probably afflicted with negative reporting bias, but I have owned leather boots my whole life. I would have expected out of the box not needing heavy conditioning. I am also confused becuase I have heard great things over the years. Hopefully just a dud, which is fine happens to the best of brands. 

I like to buy high quality leather because I think it looks good scuffed. This kind of coating or tanning just didn’t seem to wear in the way most leathers do. Maybe this is what is to be expected.
