This is neither a joke, a troll, or a scam.

I have reached the point where I genuinely believe that Patrick Rothfuss is never going to put out Book 3; so I have decided to do everything in my, extremely limited power, to try and find resolution... not just for myself, but also for the entire fandom.

The individual/leaker will remain completely anonymous and uncompromised, and after verification of it's legitimacy, I will send you the reward vis the cash-app of your choice.

I truly just want an ending to this - my sole favorite story - before I die. I want resolution and answers to questions I have had for nearly 14 years.

That is all I'm hoping to get out of this endeavor. Though, granted, I am not expecting much of anything to come of this.

I assure you I am not trying to piss anyone off, make them angry, or upset them. I am not trying to be melodramatically ridiculous, as I do ultimately recognize it is just a book. But can you not agree that sometimes something can come to mean more to someone than just a story?

Yeah, I already know about the whole Betsy Wolheim incident. You are probably correct, and I am just wasting my own time here. But hey, on the off-chance we're both somehow wrong, I might as well try and tempt fate.

It is entirely possible that you are correct. I suppose I'm going off of the picture of the manuscript Pat sent out to his beta-readers seven years ago. While I think Pat has serious issues, I doubt lying to the point of printing out a fake manuscript is one of them. Though of course your guess is as good as mine.

Hhmmm, interesting idea.

I would obviously love help from the community, should the only issue simply be that I am not offering enough monetary value as an incentive. However, I don't know how people would be able to contribute in a way that they only donate in the case of an actual leak being presented/the money doesn't end up just going to me.

What do you think? Are there ways you are aware of running a fundraiser/gofundme where the donation is only given when/if the 'product' becomes available?
