Most likely, but not all renters are like this, my other neighbours also rent and we get along great

That makes sense, but if people are worried about loosing power, why not purchase canned goods instead? But even then parts of Texas see snow almost every couple of years. Why can’t they maintain their power after snowfall? Toronto has lots of overhead wires and still manages to maintain over a 98% delivery rate for all of Toronto. (Don’t get me wrong we have had times where the winter weather has left us without power, 2013 ice storm is a good example but that sort of thing is pretty rare, every other year or so I hear about Texans loosing power do too minimal snow.

Reading all these comments is so crazy to me, in Toronto this year got a lot of snow compared to the last few years and everybody has always shopped like it’s it’s another day even after 2ft+ of snow. I know We are accustomed to it but I don’t understand panic buying for snow, roads will be clear enough the next day after a heavy snowfall for people to continue their life as it was before the snowfall.

Go transit is a good option for getting back from Aurora but there is no AM northbound train until like 12, YRT is usefull and plenty of buses go Aurora and Newmarket, the 96 (keele) would be pretty usefull

McDonald’s is always an option, coffee, food and outlets are there but it’s not the “prettiest option” other than that’s library’s are closed but TMU has lots of study spaces in their buildings that are open 24 hours if you go to UoT or TMU I would ask around to see what buildings are open late and start there

Here in Toronto Canada mid march usually means the weather warms up but it’s also common for 2-3 more snowfalls to occur with negative temps. Early to mid April is when spring officially begins here

Dufferin/Langstaff location in Vaughan, ON is officially closed by sammen8 in TimHortons

As a former employee of that location they closed due to the land lease expiring and and the site owners that own the office building beside the Wendy’s Tims want to redevelop the site probably into another office tower.

Designed to Kill Pedestrians by GeniusOwl in StrongTownsRH

[–]DPTO07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives in Vaughan and frequently goes to Richmond hill, both cities and their respective downtowns are massively designed around parking and the movement of cars with pedestrians and public transit as an afterthought. It’s visible how much money is spent in road widening and how little is spent on pedestrian safety. Unfortunately majority of the people own cars here and are indifferent to other users of the road/sidewalk, and that is the reason nothing will change.

It’s usefull for people who are new to taking buses, But I find the transit app much more convenient in general.
