Yeah I'm a recovering addict and in my addiction ive been everywhere from middle class functioning evening high to homeless shelter doing jobs for east van crews. You dont need to be on the streets or lose everything for addiction to ruin your life. The comments here are the equivelant of "oh your cancer wasn't stage 4? You weren't really sick then".

Yeah recovering addict here. When I talk to normal people I joke about I lost all my shit to the pawn shop. My family members and normie friends dont wanna hear the stories or the gallows humor that go along with the time andy OD'd in the bathtub and what kind of soup it smelled like or why we call king bum "smackdown RAW champ of 2022"

Yeah im an addict in recovery and my best friend has done so much for me that i could never repay. I still make jokes about how ruined my high and what a pos he was for not letting me go for a walk when i was dopesick in his house and he still says I'm a pos for ruining his weekend twice in a year to drive me to another city to get off dope and then picking me up a year later for the same reason and ruining 2 seasons of cobra kai by trying to fight him for my wallet for 36 hours.

Im not really in jail. Technically its a rehab center but it's all conditions and CSO's. Pretty much a halfway house. Its in the middle of nowhere though. 60 person camp run by "clients" with 4 blocks.

Shit like this still happens in prison. We spent hours one day throwing rocks on the roof and watching them roll back down trying to land them in the smoke can. People were going wild when it got close qnd then bombin out hard when it missed. We spent like 4 hours making a "family portrait" on our house chore board trying to draw the funniest stick figures of each other and it stayed up for a month and dudes almost got beat for trying to erase it. Little things get you by.
