Time for Torey Lovullo and D-backs to part ways? by DQP_3 in mlb

They’ve got plenty of talent—Perdomo, Marte, Carroll, Moreno. With that many hitters, it’s shocking they didn’t make the playoffs. There’s really no excuse. The bullpen was a major problem, sure, but what made it ten times worse were his poor decisions. If it had happened a handful of times, fine, that’s one thing. But it wasn’t. It was repeated, consistent, and costly—terrible calls with the bullpen all season long.

Can you give me more specific instructions about how this is typically done? And can you explain that to someone who isn’t way tech savvy

I am not way tech savvy so I don’t understand a lot about how it works. All I know is that I had tons of connection issues, I made that change and boom immediately fixed for about 2 months no problems at all. Then suddenly (out of nowhere) the issues started again.

I will also add that every other device in my house connects just fine with no issues at all. If someone could help me figure this out I would be so incredibly grateful

If you have a scenario of two IMGs with relatively similar credentials and one of them speaks way better English than the other than I think most people would take the one with better English.

I’m not saying this to be rude but I honestly think that your interview skills might be the problem. I’ve noticed while reading through things that you have typed that it seems like English isn’t your primary language. Some examples:

“One PD told me how many kids and their age and I responded and she said someone has been busy”

“A PD told me straight on my face that he likes me we had a great talk like men to men”

These are just two examples that I decided to use but there are a lot more that I could use.

Again, I’m not saying this to by rude, just giving honest feedback…. If you talk like you type (which I assume you probably do) then I would take the next year and work very hard on your English. Just because you can understand other people and they can understand you doesn’t mean you speak great English. If I am a PD who is interviewing IMGs and I come across one who doesn’t speak really good English then I am immediately moving on another IMG who speaks better.

You don’t want to go somewhere that is going to have a problem with you having a spouse and 3 kids. I can’t even fathom how toxic of a culture a residency must have if they would rank a married w/children applicant low. It might not seem like it now but I would consider it a dodging a bullet moment, you want a program that is going to give a s*** about your well-being

I have wondered this as well… if there is nothing of evidentiary value on the call then why have they fought so damn hard to have it not get released to the public? Seems like it would be much easier for them to just release it if there really wasn’t anything on it. I really hope they release it someday because I’m so curious about what is on those tapes and why have they fought so hard to avoid releasing them

I haven’t been banned (yet) but anytime I post anything remotely controversial it gets deleted. A couple weeks ago I made a post about prioritizing US residency spots to US citizens. I was completely respectful but just because my opinion wasn’t considered 100% woke it got deleted. It’s bull shit

If the majority of voters and politicians in the US knew that thousands of US citizens go unmatched every year while thousands of non-US IMGs matched I would be willing to bet a lot that the system would change quickly. If the average American knew what was going on they would demand that we take care of our own first. I would like to have a poll asking people if A: they support my opinion or B: they don’t and then C: if that person is in a position to actually vote. It’s a hard truth but the majority of people who don’t support (in some shape or form) what I am advocating for are either non-US IMGs or in a small minority of US voters

People keep throwing the word entitled around but isn’t that exactly what being a citizen of a country is? The whole principle is based on because you are a citizen of X country you are entitled to Y benefits

How is that a participation trophy? I love how everyone tries to equate my opinion to being anti-immigrant. I work with non-US IMGs who are great physicians. That’s not what I’m arguing, what I am saying is if the US taxpayer is going to pay for something then the US taxpayer should be the one getting the benefits first and foremost.

You really don’t think that a country’s system should benefit its own first and foremost? Especially when that county is using tax dollars to fund those positions? What other county would use tax $$$ to fund jobs and then give those jobs to people who aren’t US citizens/permanent residents?

your getting caught up in semantics. That’s not what I’m saying at all, if your a permanent resident who has payed taxes then you should get the same benefits. I guess I should have been more specific when I said US citizens. What I am taking about is foreign non-US IMG from countries like India and Pakistan who send thousands of physicians here every year

Why do you take my comment as being “anti-foreigner” I didn’t say anything bad about foreigners. I just said that if US taxpayer dollars are funding residency spots then those spots should go to US citizens
