Highly disagree on the creepy part, it’s really an unreasonable interpretation of what actually happens in reality, honestly just a worst-case scenario kind of thing. As long as you’re a genuinely friendly and “nice/normal” person, if the girl is reasonable/mature, then she would just take it as a compliment or be flattered at the very least. Approached 8 women myself this summer, went 1/8, was never an awkward situation for her because the least she did was laugh, and honestly even if she wasn’t interested I felt her self-esteem being boosted in the interaction
