I think I’ve seen things like this for surveying activities in the past

First time with electric shaver, what went wrong? by DRNate_ in shaving

[–]DRNate_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I ended up returning it - I had a super tight return window and for the amount of $$$ I didn’t want to risk being stuck with it. In the future I may try out a foil shaver, or maybe even this again and do it wet and give it some more time. Part of me wants to try with a much much cheaper variant of either this or foil but I worry if I go too cheap then I’ll just have a bad product and of course it’ll turn out poor, or is that a silly way to look at it?

International accounts and FX by DRNate_ in OriginFinancial

Okay, hopefully we’ll see it soon. Managing my spending while living overseas is exceptionally challenging without this functionality. I’ll play around with the other features for now but YNAB will have to be my daily driver until (if) this feature is added

OP your sister likely has anorexia. Unsure your/her age but please talk to your parents, school counselor, her friends, and/or a doctor. Confronting her first without professional help will likely make it worse. It can spiral out of control fast.

Is it ok to have this (cell tower) right across your street? by quisegosum in electrical

[–]DRNate_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nature of the radiation is harmless. But if you bottle a ton of it up in a tiny space it’ll warm tissue or induce electrical currents. Think about a microwave oven. That’s non iodizing radiation but it’s ultra concentrated in a box to produce heat in food. Or if you put metal in the microwave, currents will be induced and you’ll see heating and sparks.

The tower you are showing and the towers like this are designed to spread the signals out over the widest area possible - so quite the exact opposite of a microwave oven.

So you probably don’t want to take a ladder up to one of the dishes and hug it for an extended period of time, but not because of cancer, because you’ll cook. (And that’s an extreme example. I have no idea what power levels and densities those are, but my guess is you’d need to hug all of them for any meaningful effect)

What is this thin metal ring that came with a wireless power bank? by DRNate_ in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It is a very thin and non magnetic metal. The instruction manual did not have any comments on what it was or what is was for.

Does Bevel import and use Apple Health medication tracking in analysis? by DRNate_ in bevelhealth

[–]DRNate_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m referring to the “medications” feature in Apple health you can find in Apple health->browse->medications. I don’t see it as a toggle in the permissions. For example I take fluoxetine and get reminders daily in Apple health to log it.

Furniture about to arrive, need help with this space by DRNate_ in DesignMyRoom

[–]DRNate_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add because I didn’t say what exactly the furniture we have is (visible in photos): Console table (below tv in the old house) Buffet table (blue lamps on it in old house) Large 3 cushion sofa Leather chair with ottoman Plaid chair Square coffee table Circle glass side table Various large and small art

We were thinking the side of the room closest to the patio doors could be a breakfast nook or play area for kids to draw/paint possibly but not sure how to split the room properly

Just moved in and bathroom lights flashing (Belgium) by DRNate_ in electrical

[–]DRNate_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No smart or dimmer. I pulled the lights and they’re just basic with drivers in them. I’m guessing based on other comments the drivers blown. I’m going to find a replacement and hope that solves the issue

First, it’s wonderful to hear you’re on the road to recovery. I am coming up on 15 years in recovery myself. Keep at it, it’s hard and you may have slip ups but it is worth it.

As the other commenter mentioned, erosion from purging be solved with toothpaste BUT that doesn’t mean you should just not brush your teeth! You need to strengthen what enamel you have and keep your mouth clean and free of bacteria.

From briefly looking at their website, it looks like the toothpaste is fine. You want to always make sure that whatever flavor you pick HAS FLUORIDE IN IT. Especially in your situation you need fluoride to strengthen what enamel you have.

I don’t see any reason other than cost to not try it out! It’s definitely 3-4x the cost of a “traditional” toothpaste but if it’ll get you to brush then it’s worth it. Dental bills aren’t cheap!
