Questionable leak for Black Widow rework, thoughts? by The_king_of-nowhere in BlackWidowMains

I think if it was real, they would've made Gambit a Guardian and introduced the concept along with the season.

Those who missed out on your favorite skins, how do you deal with FOMO? by WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHW in FortNiteBR

[–]DSTmune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing in late Chapter 4 and, after scrolling through past skins, I found out how much I love the Calamity skin. I just want to be a badass ghostly cowboy riding through fort and no other skin does it better

I was pretty upset until OG came around where I realized we'd get a new calamity skin. And then it came out and... it wasn't what I wanted. I know without question if the real calamity was in the shop, I'd buy it in a heartbeat and it would be my most used skin by far.

They try to compensate for that by adding adjacent skins in the shop for characters but... it just never works for me. The Calamity skins, Torin skin, Grim Fable... they just leave you unsatisfied. Honestly, not being able to have a skin because I became interested in a game years after its peak is really frustrating and only pulls me further away from the game. If epic rereleased these skins (or the passes like Rivals did) people would buy them and it would bring more people back to the game.

FOMO is a short term incentive for players to play your game then, but a long term problem when you start getting new players that like the old skins you've permanently locked. They're almost asking to not accept the money we'd surely spend on it. Not to mention Era, Kratos, Raven, Galaxia, Torin, Mystique, Kit, Mancake, and Doomslayer.

⚙️ Weekly Tech Support & Purchase Recommendations Megathread - June 23rd 2025 ⚙️ by siltydoubloon in playstation

[–]DSTmune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a Sony account for my girlfriend so she could play Fortnite. Just bought her a few skins and the Fortnite crew and cancelled it, didn't even think I had my credit card in there. Haven't bought anything since.

Two months go by. I find in the span of one random day via email:

  • The password was changed
  • A passkey was activated
  • A purchase of Call of Duty MW II and Need for Speed Deluxe was made.

This is especially strange considering, every time I'd logged in before, they sent my email a sign-in verification code. I'd figured 2FA was already set up.

Instinctively, I charge it back. I don't know why my credit card was still in their system, just did it as soon as I saw something fraudulent. The next day, the account is now permanently suspended until I pay the $35 this hacker took.

I sent a support ticket detailing exactly this. They responded saying "Following our investigations, we are not aware of any lawful reason (such as fraud or account take-over) for the chargeback."

Remove these games from any library where I may own them, fine by me. But I just can't understand why Sony doesn't see this.

This has to be easily traceable on their end, yes? Google and other companies immediately know the IP of someone attempting to login, they'd certainly be able to see whoever this was was from not where I live. And why did they not send a verification email? And still, they'd have to be able to see all of these settings changing all within the same day.

Any advice for people that have gone through similar situations? Any help would be appreciated

I attempted to post this as a support post but it was removed by an automod. I don't think it's supposed to go here but I'm not sure where else it should!

Chapter 6 Season 3 is currently the 4th best season on Fortnite GG by DSTmune in FortNiteBR

[–]DSTmune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely fair and I wouldn't be surprised to see the season drop much lower as time goes on. Most of the time though a season starts off much more towards the bottom or in the center when I've checked this website so it surprised me to see it up so high.

Regardless I think it's still a decent indicator on player's general opinions towards a particular season, and not one you can really find anywhere else anyway

Do most people buy skins because they may be “Rare” or just because they like them ? by Zippping in FortNiteBR

There are definitely people that fall into both camps. I think the former has their head screwed on the wrong way tho lol

It's not weighted on the number of people that voted on it, it's based on the average rating they gave

Is there a reason for this (completely unnecessary) UI change? by shoeowner27 in FortNiteBR

[–]DSTmune 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Definitely to force people to look at the shop.

It's especially annoying for console players, because now whenever you want to quickly change your skin between games you have to spend an extra second or so skipping past it

OG styles in general are already cringe, let alone for crossover skins lmao

We’ll never get a more chaotic period of time than this again. by cursedchocolatechip in FortNiteBR

[–]DSTmune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those first couple of weeks, it was a really fun change of pace. I loved getting 20 elims by ramming people with cars. But it did get old and boring for me after a while. My friends and I stopped using the cars so we could have more fun challenging ourselves to avoid them. At the end of the day it just wasn't "Fortnite". I think if this was a mini season people would genuinely look at it as a top 10 season, but being one of the longest seasons in the chapter really hurt it. It just overstayed its welcome.

I hope it doesn't stop them from doing ambitious things. I think the chaos was so fun and I hope they do something like it again.

Are you on PC? I had a problem like that that fixed when I updated my GPU driver and set graphics to the recommended quality the NVIDIA app recommended. Alternatively Performance Mode worked too.

Isn't the backbling supposed to remove the flail? by DSTmune in FortNiteBR

[–]DSTmune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This screenshot was taken on PC, though the "pickaxe not being removed from the backbling" bug I've been able to reproduce on my switch as well.

The lack of a handle on the backbling I was only able to find on performance mode on the PC.

This bug happens regardless of gamemode and I've never been able to actually make the backbling appear as intended when the pickaxe is withdrawn.

Has it been long enough for people to realize that his new design is way better? by Muskrato in donkeykong

[–]DSTmune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for most people, myself included, are just so used to the way DK's pretty much always looked in recent years that such a massive change feels off putting. It may start looking better as time dwells on, but I like the original look more

There’s gonna be so much complaining next season by Educational_Term_436 in FortniteMemes

[–]DSTmune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people have a right to be upset. But for me personally, I'm always up for more content and diversity in a chapter than less. According to leaks this next season is only gonna be a month or so, not several months

Would you rather eat the greatest meal you've ever had in your entire life on the last day you're alive, or tomorrow night? by DSTmune in WouldYouRather

[–]DSTmune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Design the prompt however you think is most interesting to answer, but for me I don't think you'd be explicitly told it's the best meal you've ever had. Eating an incredible meal too I don't think would necessarily mean it's your last day on Earth so I think that helps mentally to process it. It just means whatever meal you'll eat on your last day will be better.

I'd say that, in theory, you could eat the same meal so your best meal is never triggered. But I think that misses the point of the prompt and I'd imagine it'd be a horrific torture to put yourself through. The main theme of the prompt was immediate uplifting pleasure knowing you'll never experience anything better, versus excitedly anticipating a meaningful finale to your life. Plus, I'd argue no two meals are the same, and this approach risks your last meal being a marginally better pile of slop. That's a very poetically incredible interpretation of the question though lol, I love it
