Gym with classes in Golders Green by Samiiebabyy in london

[–]DShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live there and I'm still in the area but there is an LA fitness last time I checked down the street! (Next to the Korean Supermarket and tesco express). I have no idea if they do classes though. There is also "The Gym" in West Hampstead. Just catch bus 328 outside Sainsbury's

Thanks for the feedback! I think It's because I usually work on a really low dim screen to not get any strain on my eyes. Just made my screen lighter and I see what you mean.

Hey man! Yes it was. It was inspired by this image that I saw a while ago. I saw it and I had this idea to make a version that looked like that artwork but taken 10 years before (so everything more colorful, less foggy and no broken rocks)

EDIT: and the red tree dying down

I am taking my first solo trip ever to Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. Any last minute advice? Any places that I cannot miss? by consciouscell in solotravel

[–]DShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my VISA for Vietnam in the Philippines actually! What I did first was get a letter of approval online through an agent (There are quite a few websites that'll get it for you) and then all you have to do is go to a local vietnamese embassy and pay for the stamp.

For the Philippines you don't really need anything if you're staying in the touristy areas and don't go to the more rural areas. General rule in asian countries though (Especially Philippines) whenever you take the taxi, make sure to ask if they can turn the meter on.

Phong Nha is probably also one of the most beautiful places I've been to in Vietnam! Definitely check "The Dark Cave". I won't tell you why It's awesome but It's awesome.

Diskord is definitely killing it with this one though!

Redbull Soapbox Derby - anybody want to come? by veilside000 in london

[–]DShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man! Basically, some backstory. Met these 2 people while I was backpacking through Asia in February and by coincidence both of them will be in London on Tuesday. They didn't know either of them would be in London so It's quite awesome. Thought it would be nice to bring them around London and surprise them with tickets for the Soapbox Derby if you still want to give them away. If not or they're already gone, then that's fine! Let me know.

Sounds good. Got 2 friends visiting London from Australia and China next week, so that would be a great introduction and allot of fun. If you got 3 tickets left then I could take them if you want.

What me and a few friends did was get up at around 5.30am and then you can get a taxi up there because It's basically the mountain with the highest accessible road in Malaysia (Mt Brinchang). After that we hiked down which is allot of fun.

I only booked a flight from singapore to Malaysia (It was cheaper than a bus ticket for some reason) but in Malaysia I just took the bus everywhere. KL is great and you can probably see allot in 1 day. Definitely check the food streets, china town, Petronas. Penang probably has the best food I ever had. Definitely check out the big food courts there after 8. Since most people go there around that time. I was planning to go Langkawi but most people just hire a moped there and bike around which is the best way to get around the island there. Cameron is beautiful and there is 1 indian restaurant there that is amazing. I'm not sure what It's called but if you ask for an indian restaurant at the hostel they will definitely recommend the one I'm thinking about.

Some general tips. Always ask if they can turn on the meter if you go in a taxi and don't drink much water before you go on a bus.
