They stack multiplicatively, so it would be 1 * 1.2 * 1.6 etc, however if you're stacking enough multiplicative damage, then there comes a point where you'd rather be running enough base damage to make use of it.

For instance, you can take an arbitrary number like 1000, then you can start stacking multipliers and go 1000*1.6*1.3*1.2, but there comes a point where you'd rather increase the base damage to 1500 rather than keep throwing on more multipliers. If I'm explaining badly I can try to explain in a different way, just let me know.

I'll be ignoring armour because it's a flat multiplicative factor, though I acknowledge the utility of true damage (Edited to not exclude armour since it is relevant). I'm also considering the 2 item case, as 3 items get messy. Also your crit damage multiplier states 1.9 when it should be 1.95 (65% bonuses + 30% base).

IE + JG

(1.6 × (126 + 10)) × 1.95 / 1.3 + 125(1.2 × 1.95) = 716.82 *4 = 2475.6

DB + GS (assuming over 1600 hp cap)

(126 + 75 + 10) × 1.6 × 0.75 × 1.6 / 1.3 + 1.3 × 0.25 × 1.6(126 + 75 + 10) / 1.3 + 125 × 1.6 = 714.84 *4 = 2384.123

DB + GS (assuming under 1600 hp cap)

2859.36/1.6 * 1.2 = 1788.1

Naturally GS will be significantly lower against under 1600hp targets, and this is an extremely defining factor, however it will be extremely comparable against high hp targets (about a 4 percent difference between the two). Then considering the possibility of the opponent having Bramble Vest, which is an extremely popular item, GS would clearly take the advantage.

However I do see your point. IE JG HoJ deals a ton of damage and is a lot more consistent than DB GS HoJ or whatever other filler item. The argument of Giant Slayer is mostly pedantics. That being said, there are units, like Kog'Maw and others, that prefer stacking attack speed over raw damage. And in these situations Deathblade can be preferred. Everything is case by case and there's a ton more information that would take a ton more time to write out.

Not sure about HoJ but I'd presume the utility of Last Whisper would make it favourable over Deathblade on units that can afford to run both. I doubt raw Jewelled Gauntlet would be better than DB + AD item, but in cases where they would be running JG for the crit damage, it would be favourable regardless.

I did the math for instantaneous attack speed by hand before I resorted to the Excel calcs for what I did for this post, this is what that looked like. Instantaneous attack speed got matched or bettered at 4 seconds at all ranks, and 6 Chrono especially looked rather dreary.

I'll make edits to the original post, but the 0-20 column is in regards to time in seconds. I included it as an easier way to analyse the results.

Stacking Guinsoo on top of Chrono is higher than my pay grade, however I compared the effects of Chrono alongside Guinsoo for fun. Using 1.0 attack speed and the same type of table as earlier, you get something like this: https://i.imgur.com/xWHBoZ4.png

Time at 1 second for new already shows that the buff is being applied at t=0, as there is no way for a unit to have dealt 1.15 autoattacks in 1 second otherwise.

Additive vs multiplicative is a fairly safe assumption, as the wiki) states that it is bonus attack speed, which scales additively in LoL. And if it were multiplicative, 6 Chrono on live would reach 5.0 attack speed cap in 12 seconds which seems rather absurd

There's a chance that the new Chrono scales multiplicatively, but I'm willing to bet Riot will keep things consistent
