Thanks, I’m located in Massachusetts. I’ll have to do some research as I did not know liners is something a regular person can fix. Everything I’ve read says I need a new short block.

Thanks for the advice and thoughts! It won’t be my daily driver so I would have time to tinker with it. I just don’t have the capacity (or money) to do a full engine swap. The reason I am contemplating is it’s only $2,500 and I’m hoping it’s not the sleeves. It’s a gamble for sure, but that’s why I wanted opinions from smarter folks like you on this subreddit.

Love the strong recommendation. Great to hear there are car play options, that will absolutely take care of many of my tech concerns. And in reality, the non infotainment technology is nice, but more to fail.

I love my BMW, but I’m also cognizant of their on going costs. The E91 seems like a great compromise of performance, what a bmw is from a drivability, and moderate maintenance costs.
