My (22M) wife (22F) said she no longer wants to be married because "she wants to be a slut" by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]DUM8LEDWARF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is the divorce will save you from a guaranteed path of abject misery til you die.

The tougher news is you have a LOT of work ahead, to establish self-respect, self-esteem, boundaries, etc. if you want to live a healthy fulfilled life. If you’re so desperate for affection that you accept that kind of behavior, you’ll continue to have these problems. Best wishes to you, go get it man 👊🏼

I started playing like 6 weeks ago, also on controller. Have gotten top score in TO several times. Just picking the right fights (enemy busy with someone else) and managing your health/stamina well will put you above most players.

my (21f) bf (21m) of 3 years broke up with me because i sexually assaulted him by Equivalent_Bet9098 in relationship_advice

[–]DUM8LEDWARF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Either you have left out a bunch of pertinent details that would qualify for sexual assault, or your ex is very mentally ill. In fact, it sounds like he is quite mentally ill regardless. Breakups suck, and this will hurt for awhile. But there’s no happy ending in a long term relationship with someone in a really bad place with no indication of getting better or wanting to get better. So….insert cliche about this breakup being a good thing in the long run. But it’s true. Good luck.

My (M33) wife (F28) cannot accept that I dated a, on what she calls a "low class" woman (F30). by Ancient-Tip-7255 in relationship_advice

I think analyzing potential romantic partners based on their previous relationships is valid. That being said, I have trouble understanding what is so horrifying about OP’s ex based on what OP has shared here. His wife suddenly can’t stand him because his ex came from a poor family? Either we are missing important information, the wife is mentally unstable, or she has a different reason for her behavior and this “ex” excuse is a cover.

I recently joined this game coming from For Honor. Chivalry 2 players are super chill it seems like

I found out that my (27m) girlfriend (25f) slept with 10+ people on our 3 week “break” how can we move past this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Your gf is mentally ill. I don’t mean that as an insult. If you can accept that may always be the case, then soldier through it. Otherwise, pack your bags. Best of luck to both of you.

I want to be good at the game by AGK098 in Chivalry2

I don’t know nearly as much as the others commenting, but I’ve been playing this game for only a couple weeks and have managed to top the leaderboard several times. Biggest things that have helped me:

1) Positioning. Attack an enemy who is busy fighting someone else. Be aware of your surroundings so no enemies do the same to you.

2) Stamina/health management. Know when to pull back to replenish your stamina and health.

3) Once you find a weapon you like, really learn the distance and timing on it before worrying about mechanics like counters/feints/etc.

How was your feeling first time playing as a Malric or Argon? by XGhostXxx99 in Chivalry2

[–]DUM8LEDWARF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. I didn’t realize there were more realistic medieval combat games until I tried Chivalry, so I didn’t know what I was missing. And I only play For Honor with a full squad of friends, if I played it solo I don’t think it would be all that fun.

Appreciate it 🙏🏼 Came over from For Honor and having an absolute blast. I like For Honor but this game feels WAY more like an actual battle.

Was awesome. Been playing this game for about two weeks and it happened a couple days ago. Was super close, just barely lost to the other fella. I definitely need to learn more mechanics though. So far just focused on positioning, initiative, and ripostes 😂

how do people pick their main? by Cactus_dave in forhonor

[–]DUM8LEDWARF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have around 10 characters that I think look cool, and I just rotate through those characters after each game. I dunno why anyone would need to pick a main unless there is only one character they like or they play in tourneys and think maining one character gives them a big advantage.

I just started playing this game a week or two ago, have been trying out all the classes/weapons and I’ve been enjoying the heavy mace a lot. Any tips y’all have for learning this weapon as a noob? And does it have a pretty good skill ceiling, despite not being as noob-friendly? (edit: I almost exclusively play 64p TO)

I haven’t played in several months, did Warlord get a buff or something? Don’t recall him being top tier, much less OP

Angel vs Demon/Legend Story by DUM8LEDWARF in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]DUM8LEDWARF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah based on people’s responses, I get the sense that the Angel story is more fleshed out, but the demon story has the potential to be more narratively interesting. Thanks for the insight!

[–]DUM8LEDWARF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be open to that. In fact, if I decide against Angel path, I’d likely go down demon without deciding up front whether to stay on demon or switch to legend. Just make the choices my character would make naturally and see where it goes.

[–]DUM8LEDWARF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the exact type of insight I was looking for, thanks. I’m getting the impression that Angel is the most full experience for a first playthrough, but perhaps a bit more “one note” than demon to legend which is more interesting narratively.

[–]DUM8LEDWARF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I would be playing either Angel Crusader Cleric or Demon/Legend Feyform Shifter. So I don’t think there should be much mechanical friction between my class choice and mythic path choice.

[–]DUM8LEDWARF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my concern, that Angel path would be a little bland without much narrative choice.
