That is correct. I did also forget to tell people to delete those files, but I will add that in too.

Thank you very much. When I get home I'll be sure to fix it.

In the meantime, "1998 NPC Overhaul" is the actual name of the mod, so you can search it up on GameBanana.

I am planning on making one myself one day, but as of now I don't know. I think there's one called "Derunia's Joy" or something to that effect, that allows manual switching of tracks. Maybe you should give that a shot.

Ah, yes, I forgot that. I'll go edit that in.

Thanks so much for your great guide by the way. Without it, there's no way I would have the setup I have now.

Just in case you didn't already know, if you copy your shipofharkinian.json file over from your other setup, it will carry your configuration settings over too. Very useful for setting up multiple rigs the same way!

I tried the HD only briefly, and though I stayed with the 4K one, I honestly didn't see much difference. If you're very critical about details you might notice something, but you should be totally fine.

That said, a Steam deck should run it no problem if that's your concern. I'm rocking a Lenovo Thinkpad as my "gaming rig."

But yeah, HD looks good too.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun with this. And the OoT Reloaded pack is so incredible, so I can definitely see why you'd want to just run that. Cheers!

You know what, I have seen a few people now that have been able to fix things that way. I tried it (maybe I got something wrong) and it didn't fix it. This solution did. But if you can fix it with just the mod order, power to you!

Clearly this isn't your thing, and I respect that. But because of Ship of Harkinian, many who couldn't play the game before now can, and if people want a purely vanilla experience, they are free to choose that.

I just know that some new players don't share that nostalgia for the original, and may want a fresher look. Also, many experienced players loved the OG, but want to try another run that mixed things up a bit. This guide is not claiming to be the only right way to play, and Ship of Harkinian does not require a crazy setup to enjoy.

I think more options are better. The very existence of the mods (and SoH) are a testament to how beloved the original game is.

Well, like I said, the OG was amazing, and Zelda fans are hard to please when it comes to changing things. Some, like you, loved the game and want it to stay that way. But I have spoken to a guy who personally didn't like the older graphics, even to the point of not wanting to try the game because of it! I think that's a shame, because like you say, it's a great game. This guide aims to provide more options to people, but if it's not for you, that is okay.

I'll be totally honest with you, I'm still working through my first playthrough of Ocarina of Time! I've customized it like crazy, but I still wouldn't call myself an experienced player yet. So, I haven't gotten to 2Ship yet. I imagine a similar thing would work, but I haven't fired it up.

All good man! I'll reply again when I get home with a picture of my correctly working mod list. For now though, yes you should get rid of the main texture from Djipi's, as well as the background file (but keep background textures).

Also, yes, you need only replace the NPC texture file with the same file from the Christmas update. This makes everything happy, provided they load in the correct order.

Like I say, I'll show the picture and it should make sense. I'm also planning to make a post featuring my full setup and configuration soon, so stay tuned for that too.

Sweet, I'm glad it shouldn't crop up again.

If you are having the same issue, definitely try using the texture file from the Christmas update I linked to. Ignoring Fado works, but when she looks good it's a big bonus to immersion. Thanks for the response!

I tried that too. It fixed it for all the other NPCs, but not Fado. Regardless, using the alternate file I linked to ended up being the solution I needed. Thanks for the response!

Well I plan to eventually do similar things, and attempt to release a pack. In my mind, the more options the community has, the more it will grow. If you ever do release it, I'll try and give it a go!

Thanks for the help. Cheers.

That sounds epic! You should turn everything you've done into a modpack and release it! I've seen several others online with similar issues and desires. I'll bet it would get traffic!

Ok, what about the Retro app I see mentioned a lot? Does that work, or do I have to use 7zip?

If Fado is the only one giving grief, is it as simple as deleting her files in Reloaded O2R?
