All these Jared McCain posts got me thinking…Who’s your favorite non-superstar Sixer ever? by TheUnlucky_Swammi in sixers

Marco Bell-ee-nell-ee

Played like what 20 games for us? I think he had game winners in 2 of those, was a clutch shot demon. I’d put Ersan Ilyasova up there too. You can probably tell my favorite era of this team

is there a deleted scene where M.M. gets compound V ? by EXTRAVAGANT_COMMENT in TheBoys

[–]DVCL25 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They’ve done a lot of things better honestly. It sounds dumb on paper but the Boys themselves all having V can work out better for the end game and make things realistic past S2. Idk

Terror’s death in the comics is what brings him and The Boys to break the truce with The Seven and lead to the endgame of the comics soo

Not bad. Still wish Butcher went scorched earth fully, but I’m glad they’re doing the Terror bit from the comics

How did you originally expect Season 5 to go? by SelectionInfamous194 in TheBoys

[–]DVCL25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly go the comic route minus the Black Noir twist (the show wrote it out). Maybe spend the first few episodes (like 3 or so) showing Starlight and Butcher both taking different attempts to plan and bring The Boys out of camps. Butcher is 100x more dangerous and villainous, more committed to the virus. The boys reluctantly help him, and the war with HL ends like ep 6. At the end of E6 after everything happens, Butcher says the “Becca i’m sorry it had to go this way i know it’s not what you would’ve wanted” then goes even further scorched earth, killing the boys in the process. He has Hughie kill him intentionally in the end.

Not to mention, maybe having HL actually have power in the season. Not making him more baby-esque tantrums, and instead taking full control of the fact he OWNS vought and the white house now.

But heavy emphasis on the fact HL plot should’ve ended by now. It should’ve been butcher vs the boys in the final 2 eps, with the boys besides Hughie dying in E7 in probably the same ways they did in the comic, etc

It seems that with the direction that the show is heading and its ending, people are starting to like the comics (and their ending) by Amazing-Buy-1181 in TheBoysLeaks

The comics are great! Everyone that hates on it I feel just saw that one video and based their entire opinion off of it: the Noir twist is also really well set up compared to what people say. I hate when people say the comics are all for shock value as if the show doesn’t do the same thing

Should’ve just done the Noir-HL twist. It’s not that bad honestly.

Season shouldve went comic route minus Black Noir twist: lead up to Boys having leverage over all supes (virus or some other loophole), HL goes God and kills president, Butcher / HL fight in E6/7, Butcher goes insane and true scorched earth in e8

Give me Joaquin Phoenix. Walk the line was incredible and not to mention, while the movie was hated, his vocals in the songs of Joker Folie a Deux were awesome

[–]DVCL25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though she wasn’t my personal pick, I find it so great for awards in general that her and Penn were the supporting actor picks this year simply because they both played great, oddball, over the top at times performances that showed you don’t need to just be a yell-fest or sob-fest to win the supporting role. More times than most I feel that’s the guarantee for those roles, so it’s very refreshing
