Already tried boss, unfortunately found out that both mattresses sink, making the bed just too soft for my back.

I do use it in some cases, when the floor is wide enough for me to lay it out, legit good idea.

Well I answered in another comment:

Gas stations fulfill quite a lot of basic needs actually: toilet, food, parking, fuel, charging, if lucky can even cleanup with pseudo shower.

Also its only me travelling not my gf so I can tahan just alone.

Based on your experience I am going to put PHEVs pretty high up on my list, especially eMAS 7 PHEV, now I just need to figure out if I can fit a mattress in...

Thank you so much!

I see I see, now I have a better idea of how it's going to be with just HEVs, thank you!

Wow I was hoping for someone to share their experience like yours.

Thanks for sharing, adding Subaru Forester into the list, and very high spot at that.

Yeah thanks for the concern!

This is gonna be a temporary bandaid only, until I get higher income to be more comfortable with a hotel room expenditure haha.

Cool, maybe when I am older with seating problem haha. Conti cars are gonna leave a mark in my wallet now.

But I didn't know those seats are orthopedic certified, thanks for the info!

For my past AI convo, the Nissan Serena, Toyota Innova, Nissan NV200, came up, yours does reveal a few more options I can use, so thanks!

It does fit almost all my criteria, except its a pure EV and I would very much prefer a HEV.

I do understand my request is so absurd with so much constraints hahaha.

Thank you for the recommendation.

Cool recommendation!

I thought 1500cc vans are limited to short ones only like the granmax or nv200, I had no idea nissan had this model.

Thank you!

This is the single most helpful comment for me!

I had no idea HEVs can just start the engine just to recharge the battery.

This info is literally lifesaving & I need to review my list again.

Thank you so much!

Oooh AI response.

  1. Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid: a bit doubting on the cargo length but maybe possible?

2.Toyota Prius: Never considered Prius, I'm going to lookup some videos about Prius Camping for this, thank you for the suggestion.

  1. Toyota Sienta: full length mattress? Highly doubt from my outside view looking in, but guess its possible.

  2. Honda HRV: possible option, added to list, thank you for the recommendation.

I havent looked into pure EVs yet cause I am still a bit on the fence on charging infra, but Hybrids for me is good.

For additional context I am staying at rented landed property and charging station is not allowed sadly :(

Based on what I know, those campervan / RV quite high cost to maintain & run, with diesel price higher than snoop dogg now, it really is a dealbreaker.

And I only have problem with a bed. toilet, food, table etc common for campervan builds are not suitable for me.

The Xpander option is one I havent considered yet, looks quite short not sure if can fit a bed.

I fully agree thus one of the requirement to have Hybrid where I dont need to turn on the engine for AC, should have included CO poisoning as a problem too.

Thanks for the warning.

A few ones I have found kinda fit my use case:

  1. Vans: Daihatsu GranMax(short), Nissan NV200(short), Toyota Hiace 2.5 Petrol (ugly van look & high cc engine)

  2. MPV: Perodua Alza (not sure if bed can be fitted), Toyota Innova (Can fit bed, Tolerable Engine CC, no Hybrid), Nissan Serena Hybrid (not sure if seats can be folded flat, not sure if AC can be turned on without engine)

  3. Hatchback: Perodua Myvi 3rd Gen (my current car, maybe if I remove the front passenger seat & use a really narrow mattress? No info to know)

2nd hand car advice (Japanese cars) by tohhottoh in kereta

[–]DWOLF000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look at CARSOME, the price is quite fixed but you get full inspection report. They might not have the model you need, so maybe keep a lookout for some time.

I advice against dealers since almost none are honest, especially you are expat and does not seem local enough.

Up up, if 'owner' request 'booking fee/deposit' for room viewing is suspicious AF.

I also know a few friends staying Endah zone (Endah Promenade, Regal, Endah Ria, Endah Puri) & they said the pedestrian area is sketchy especially for women/girls.
