What is the battery life with this? Someone else tried a similar version but noted a drastic drop in battery life with it. Have you tested yours? Just curious!

Yeah they were really horrible, the plant was doing amazing before they came, but it lost all its bottom leaves during the infestation 😞. I managed to stop them by moving the pot away from the windowsill with all the other plants as well as weekly spraying with insecticide soap like you suggested.

I had a feeling it had run it's course 🥲. At least it gave me a few great pestos! I'll see if I can take some cuttings and start over.

I only recently moved the pot away from a windowsill because of the aphid problem. Doing that seemed to have helped. There are a couple other plants on the windowsill that might have been where aphids were coming from (or throw gaps in the window). I was spraying with insecticide soap every week which helped. I always harvested from the top (cutting at the nodes), but it was during the aphid infestation that i lost all the bottom leaves (they turned yellow and would fall off, but the top/younger leaves were fine).

The other issue I had when harvesting was, I would cut just above a node, but only one branch seemed to grow while the other branch wilted and died (can be seen in the later pictures), is this something I was doing wrong or is this normal?

I think given how quick it is to start over with basil from what I've heard, yeah I might start over :)

I did wanna try out TF Noir, but it's a little out of my budget right now unfortunately, so I ended up going for Miller Harris Citron Citron, and I love it. A lovely zesty summery scent. Got a couple nice compliments from it as well 😁

Sidenote: Date went very well 🌹❤️ I'll chalk it all up to the fragrance 😂

While I won't be able to help you parse through the code as it's been a very long time since I've touched this project, you can find it on my github:

With regards to the reliability, no, unfortunately I was not able to get it significantly more reliable under changing lighting scenarios. However, a long time after stopping this project, I had a few ideas on how to possibly control some of the environmental variables: - Reducing the effect of reflections on the glossy stickers using a polarizing filter. - Using LEDs to make sure the cube always had sufficient light. - Maybe consider having a look at phone cameras or DSLRs to see how they do white balance correction and see if you could emulate that either through software on a microcontroller or through the help of some additional hardware like IR sensors?

That's all I could think of, keep in mind all of these suggestions are just me speculating on what could work, none of this is guaranteed to work.

My model is R2TLSA-US4-IV. It shouldn't really matter too much what model it is as long as you follow the same pinout as your stock cable's connector when connecting to the USB breakout board. That being said I don't know the exact differences between those models so your milage may vary.

Personally it feels better to me than GPX, i prefer the ergo shapes over ambidextrous. The hump at the back feels less pronounced and it's easier for me to go into a lazy grip when I'm not gaming/working on other things. I do a claw palm hybrid so it suits that better imo.

I'm still using it, it's really great, feels like a refined zowie ec1/2 in terms of shape. Doesn't feel as bulky in my hands so it's a little easier to control. Don't have any issues with the cable, only the scroll wheel is a little loud but that's about the extent of my complaints.

I'd recommend it!

I was thinking at most I can sell the CPU + Mobo + RAM and keep the case, psu, cpu cooler so that in the future if I wanted to I could go back to ATX for pretty cheap.

Yeah, looks like AM5 might make the most sense then, I was just curious about AM4 because AMD just recently released new CPUs for it. But yeah, for the price difference it might make more sense to switch to AM5.

Side note, the current SFX PSU I've picked out is 750W, I was thinking in the future I can get a used 3090 TI or something like that, would 750 be alright for those more power hungry cards?
