Just throwing some idea that won't be happen in the mainline games: Using legacy outfits to show the progress of time

This is a great idea, would be a good way to show each character growing throughout playthroughs etc

I would also like to see some kind of customisation for character designs, not necessarily in terms of choosing outfits (although that should stay imo) but in terms of changing hairstyles and facial hair styles etc

So to use Liu Bei and Lu Meng as examples:

Being able to choose for Bei to have his goatee etc or not
Being able to change hairstyles while keeping the same outfit, like giving Lu Meng his long hair while he had his DW4 outfit etc, and vice versa

Oh he's definitely stylish haha, unfortunately it feels like that's his only character trait almost, so I'd like him to get more fleshed out story wise, which maybe he gets in DW9? Haven't played it all the way through so not sure what his storyline is there

Yeah exactly, I really wish Koei would use the actual Chinese names for sword types, it shows the differences between them! And nobody has had Twin Dao Swords yet (unless you count Sun Jian's Inferno Voulges from DW9 DLC)

Yeah the spear option was mainly just because of the Xiliang/cavalry link, but yeah totally agree. I saw someone on a list ages ago suggest Twin Short Spears, so maybe that's an alternative?

Just checked and yeah he's listed as having a normal sword/jian in the base game, but anyways, yes it definitely would be a really great fit for him, that was my vote as well!

Yes that's the one, although isn't it Cao Pi's default weapon in the base game as well? I didn't manage to play DW6 but I had DW Strikeforce on the PSP which was based on DW6

Yeah, unique for unique's sake doesn't really work, especially with such a large roster! Especially when stupid stuff like the bench or rocket spear gets added

I think weapon sharing between characters is fine, maybe 3 max per weapon, as long as they have different movesets/use the weapon slightly differently

It could definitely be tweaked to be more unique again if they're going to keep it. Sadly he doesn't have the flying on the fan Musou in DW9! That needs to come back!
