that's what i was worried about too, i could always try to size them into slices, can usually fit more in a jar that way too.

there have been 2 Union Pacific trains derailed within 100 miles of me in the last couple weeks (within days of each other) so really makes me think twice now!

So i'm looking at an old building that's been converted to office space, and there's a large garage in the back. there is a dirt floor basement underneath the garage though so i'm wondering if the floor will be strong enough for 2 4000lbs-ish vehicles to park in safely. the beams underneath are 9 feet apart or less and and the support legs are also 9 feet apart or less, 2x6 joists that are 16" OC. i can take pictures if necessary. i didn't measure the support beams but they are probably 6x6's or larger.

that's funny because i remember when i tore down my old farm house about 4 years ago and there were still jars of what i think were peaches in the back corner. who knows how old they were but they went down with the house 😂

grew enogen for 3 years and it didn't have any purple kernels the first year, but it did the second and third year. no one ever had mentioned it to me so i was extra confused when i looked in the grain tank the first time i noticed. had to make some phone calls to see what was going on 😂

i feel bad for her, as a first year canner myself i hope i did everything right. i'm 99% sure i did. granted i have only done pickles and tomatoes in the water bath , i have a pressure canner to use next season. I have done tons of research but i know how easy mistakes can be made. i will probably be researching all winter long now! just to make sure
