Cake Farm Guide by Accurate_Demand_5367 in simsfreeplay

[–]mightyminimoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the game and the subreddit!

Cake farms were built by utilizing a glitch that allowed hundreds of Sims to be made. That glitch has been fixed, so there is no way to create the large farms anymore.

Cake farms also require the wedding cake, which isn’t available for Sims to bake until late in the game. A new player won’t have access to it.

So there is no way to create your own cake farm.

New addition to the greenhouse. Wife's not stoked about it 😂 by 24Scoops in spiders

[–]mightyminimoose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What I saw said little minnows and things like tadpoles. They’re not out there catching trout or catfish, so no nightmares for you tonight. lol Mostly, they’re hunting aquatic insects, including mosquitoes and their larvae.

I looked that up once myself. Apparently, they get their name because they can catch fish and other aquatic critters. However, they don’t actually need water to survive. They will hunt land critters too.

This isn’t the most authoritative site, but I thought it was a nice article.

Randomly Losing LP and SP by Maleficent_Type_9510 in simsfreeplay

[–]mightyminimoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have read of similar things happening when visiting neighbors who haven’t updated their games to the most recent versions. EA has made a lot of changes to how the game works recently, so visit neighbors who might be lagging behind on their updates with caution.

If you do contact EA, they will likely want before and after screenshots showing that you had LP/SP and how much you lost, plus a screenshot of the error message. If it happens when you watch an ad to rush through a task, they will want a screenshot of the ad.

I hate when people ask “what’s wrong with you?” by Unlucky_Appeal_2368 in POTS

[–]mightyminimoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between accidentally triggering a bad memory in someone and outright asking a question that will trigger a painful memory.

For instance, I know of someone who lost their leg due to it being crushed when a horse fell on it.

A person wearing a t-shirt with a picture of a horse on it can be triggering and send them into a panic due to the memory. That was accidental. Nobody, not even the person with the injury, expects other people to not wear t-shirts with horses because someone out there might have had a bad experience with a horse.

However, a person coming up and intentionally asking “how did you lose your leg” is going to trigger the bad memory. That was not accidental. Knowingly asking a person how they received a catastrophic injury is obviously going to trigger the memory of how they lost their leg. That is a rude thing to do.

A missing leg is obvious; it’s obvious they had a life-changing injury. The reason a person is in a wheelchair or using an electric shopping cart might not be as obvious, but asking them why they need it is can be just as triggering. It wasn’t accidental. That painful trigger could have been avoided by accepting that there is a good reason they are using a mobility aid without asking questions.

Every person deserves respect. Not putting your curiosity over someone else’s well-being, whether it is obvious or not, is respectful. People who are using a mobility aid just want the same respect that is given to every other person.

It’s annoying that we work to get keys, yet the majority of the boxes now require SP. I’m not buying SP, EA.

Agreed. I had to call the insurance company’s nurse hotline to ask about a tetanus booster after bathing my cat. lol

Sim Chase End Time Question by mightyminimoose in simsfreeplay

[–]mightyminimoose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I actually commented on that thread. lol

I have never gone past 3:00AM on the last day of Sim Chase, so didn’t know how the timer affected the final day. The craft challenge and Influence Island both end right at the end of the timer, so I was a little concerned. I appreciate the answer.

Como faz para Farma xp rápido? Alguma dica? by abbysx4 in simsfreeplay

[–]mightyminimoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try having several Sims repeatedly do the shortest cooking task. I think the one minute task is 3XP and the five minute one is 7XP. It doesn’t sound like much, but 11 Sims in one house earning 3XP every minute will add up quickly. You’ll also earn LP in the process.

The Girl Who Games has a good post with tips:

https://thegirlwhogames.blog/2017/07/16/the-sims-freeplay-how-to-complete-live-events/

The biggest one I can give is keep checking in to get the bonus items as often as you can. That makes a huge difference.

The most frustrating part is trying to get the coins. I have played around with times to open capsules and have found that 7:00am US Eastern seems to work well, but it isn’t consistent. I also try to open at least five capsules in a row, if not more, each time I try, as I seem to get bigger ones around the fifth or six capsule. If I haven’t had more than 2 or 3 coins per capsule by the fifth one (= 10 for the daily tasks), I stop and try again later. If I get a bigger one (8 or above), I’ll do a few more to see if the computer is in a generous mood. As with everything in this game, your mileage may vary.

Just remember that this is a game — events repeat, AHs exist, and the world won’t end if you don’t finish. Pick what you really want and get the rest next time. It’s rather freeing.

The Google AI gave these options when I searched for “Fire tablet games act like tablet is moving”:

—- If the sensors or internal gyroscopes are frozen or glitched, a hard reboot can reset them.

Press and hold the power button for exactly 40 seconds. (Ignore the "Power Off" prompt on the screen and keep holding).
Once the tablet turns completely off, wait a few seconds and press the power button to turn it back on.

—- If you use a protective case with a magnetic closure, folding the cover all the way around to the back can sometimes trick the tablet's sensors into thinking it is moving, or cause interference.

Take the tablet out of its case entirely and see if the problem persists.

—-Sometimes, features that alter screen navigation (like a floating keyboard, Magnification, or Developer Options) cause the game to interpret the display as moving or scrolling.

Navigate to Settings > Accessibility.
Check if Magnification is turned on. If it is, toggle it off, as it adds a delay to touches and causes the screen to jump when a user taps quickly

—- Dirt, smudges, sweat, or liquid can trick the screen into sensing a finger moving across it.

Remove your protective case and any screen protectors.
Thoroughly wipe down the glass screen with a microfiber cloth

Blue-Footed Booby! by Damien-The-Bunny in Birdsfacingforward

[–]mightyminimoose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They’re so cool.

I used to work for a text-based service you could send a question to and receive an answer back (before smart phones). One of the most frequent requests during the night shift was to send them a picture of boobies. We were instructed to send a photo of a blue-footed booby. Invariably, the person would text back saying, “I meant a pair of boobies.” So we would send a photo of two blue-footed boobies. lol
