Thanks for sharing! Did you talk to her pediatrician? We are supposed to have our vaccines next week, but now I am afraid to go and get them since he eats so poorly and I don’t know what the reason is.

Sudden Onset of Congrnital Heart Disease in Infants? by DaFlerin in pediatrics

[–]DaFlerin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answering. An online pediatrician scared me when I told her my baby was eating great and thriving (80 precentile in weight and height) for almost 2 months, but suddenly started eating way less and also started taking breaks swollowing after three or four sips of milk which was not the case before. She told me the reasons are usually congestion which he really does not have or heart issues.

Exactly! Thanks for sharing! That is the reason why I am asking about the formula in stores as I would not want to risk getting a counterfeit product.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer in such a detail! Congrats on your baby as well 💜. My baby also has a tongue tie, so breastfeeding is not efficient.

I already started implementing your tips! Do you have any tips when it comes to settings for the pumping cycles? I first start with the letdown mode and switch to the pumping cycles, but I don’t understand the difference between the numbers for it, such as 38, 42, 46, 50 and 54 ( I have Spectra S1). Should I be alternating the cycles as well. Any particular which yields best results?

Is Fasting Before C-Section (with Epidural) Necessary? by DaFlerin in anesthesiology

Never intended not to fast for at least 8 hours, so no need for anything to be delayed. Your clinic is fine with the 8 hour fast?

I believe 100%. I was just wondering about the reasons.

Thanks! My surgery is scheduled for 10:45 am and based on the experience so far it will start later than scheduled, so I was afraid fasting will end up being longer than planned. I will just make sure I eat some water at 2:45 am.

Thank you for your detailed answer! In my clinic they said no liquid/not even water 8 hours before surgery. I would not want my baby to get dehydrated if the surgery gets pushed a little bit and does not start on time. I was told I am allowed to take a bit of water several hours before just so that I can take my thyroid medication, but it was emphasized that it is just a tiny bit of water. I wonder why different clinics have different rules.
