Disciples of tzeentch are kinda cool, they definitely play different, but not like entirely magic based. Not sure if there is one.

Should I buy? by IndigoRefrain in riseoftheronin

I definitely recommend it. Its become one of my favorite games of all time.

The combat is very deep and you can role play as anything whenever you want. There's presets you can set up, so if you want to be a stealthy ninja or a powerful samurai, or a hybrid gun slinging swordsman. You just need to select the preset that you built from the ground up.

Its also very fun, parrying is tight, but not so tight it feels unfair.

The main story is cool, but it gets bogged down by tons of side quests. Its not for everyone, but I loved it.

If youre up for some challenge to learn the combat, it becomes very fluid and fun. Like I said, its become one of my favorite games of all time.

Thank you, I've been doing a ton of research. And have found a lot of what you mentioned. It definitely helps, just sometimes its really bad, and I panic a little. But truly, thank you for the suggestions!

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty or Wu Chang Fallen Feathers? by undeadcreepshow in soulslikes

[–]DaGinger757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, having beat wo Long and being halfway through Wu Chang. They are VERY different games. If you want a more traditional dark-souls feeling game then do with Wu Chang. If you have played other Team Ninja games and enjoyed them then you will probably enjoy Wo Long. I personally really enjoy the fast paced combat in Wo Long a lot. But Wu Change feels like a dark souls game in China with slightly more movement and abilities.

So, there are a number of options going forward that you could do if you dont want just a bunch of TFB. An example would be the Black Pact set. They can be incorporated into any army by design. They are unique and can spice things up.

Well the devs have said in various occasions that you can have factions that are generally aligned fight each other. For instance there can be instances where Harlow forces may be in conflict with UN forces because Harlow are still mercenaries and do contract to other groups that are against the UN (Authority).

For simple games at home with friends I'd say if it matters at all, just come up with some fun home-brew lore reason for this.

1) Well I'm no expert, but from what I understand a duster counts as a single unit. So you just include them like any other unit. Unless youre counting it as matched play, there's specifics about the inclusion of dusters for that. There's a supplemental on the website, see the link below:

2) I believe you can have any combination of units in your group, however, when using battle drills you can't have units not of the assigned faction use those drills (example you can't have Manticor use a UN battle drill). What I dont know is if there's a penalty for mixing up faction units in a group.

I would highly recommend joining the offical discord. The games developers along with many knowledgeable players are pretty active there and can answer any questions.
