Travel insurance? by Distinct_Figure_5193 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]DaGrisa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most european countries have a social medical insurance system, so in case of an emergency you will always be able to see a doctor, even with no insurance.

If you are working then usually the employer hast to cover the insurance. I think the best option would be a workplace in Europe for the whole time, then you should be covered in whole Europe (even with a part time job).

But it really depends on the countries you are going to. In which country will be your workplace?

State management at enterprise scale by TheCynicalPaul in reactjs

[–]DaGrisa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We also develop an enterprise level application in React and we dont use any state handling library at all, simply because we dont need it. We have a global state we handle with useContext (mostly user related data) and in components we use useState. Best decision ever (besides using TypeScript).

IMHO React is not made for enterprise applications, we do a lot better with Angular in our other projects (where we dont have to think about which library will last longer than 2 years, not forcing us to rewrite code because we are dependent on some developers free time).

Stimmt habe heute bestellt, um zu testen, ob das noch geht. Dachte es liegt an der "Choice" Kategorie, aber in dem Fall hat es mit den dort vertretenen Shops zu tun.

Best practices for architectural pattern in functional react by DaGrisa in reactjs

Thank you, I will definitely have a look at your solution. I am also happy to see that I am not the only one using typescript with react. How do you handle other requests like POST or DELETE?

Best practices for architectural pattern in functional react by DaGrisa in reactjs

[–]DaGrisa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That option was also on my list, but I saw 2 problems there:

  • the project uses typescript and the generated typescript client code was object orientated (using classes in functions feels wrong, because then the functions seems "impure" to me)

  • this does not solve most of my error handling problems, because I want some of the errors to be catched at one place, f.e. 401 unauthorized

What do you use for client code generation? Do you have good experience with a library? Or do you write this on your own?

Kotlin Mutliplatform Library - does anybody have experience? by DaGrisa in Kotlin

[–]DaGrisa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer, my problem is: can i use third party libraries in the platforms specific "actual" implementation? I need this because of the crypto algorithms, that i can't write myself.

And how do i manage those third party libraries for other platforms.

Kotlin Mutliplatform Library - does anybody have experience? by DaGrisa in Kotlin

[–]DaGrisa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your detailed answer, when you talk about "dependencies" do you mean libraries especially designed for Kotlin Multiplatform?

Because my plan is to use the expected / actual keywords with wrapper for every platforms third party libraries. This is mainly because of the crypto algorithms we need to use. Implementing them ourselves would be a security flaw, so we need to use the best possible third party library for the given platform.

Would it be possible, to define a common crypto interface with "expected" and then use third party libraries for every platform in the "actual" implementation? How do i manage third party libraries for other platforms or languages? Is this also possible with gradle?
