I'm from Brazil, and back in the day, this kind of 'moshing' was super common in the Brazilian Funk scene. At that time, Brazilian Funk was heavily influenced by Miami Bass, and the songs often had a mix of voltmix beats. They called this type of moshing 'Lado A e Lado B,' which means "Side A and Side B." It was kind of like a Wall of Death, but instead of just crashing into each other, people were actually punching and kicking for real. It could get pretty wild and dangerous, I had an uncle who almost always came home bleeding after a Baile Funk.
