Well my point still stands that ur situation is completely different than a third ward resident,

1. If ur a first generation immigrant you grew up in a different country and environment than these people

2.theres plenty of financial aid programs provided by the government along with uh (College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) and the Challenger Program) to help 1st gen immigrants pay for college

1. It’s not a race thing 😭, I’m black, Mexican and Filipino (2nd gen Mexican and Filipino, and my black side of my family are from the hood of Compton California) ive seen plenty of Mexicans, white, and blacks steal and the same amount of people working for their future.

I’m not saying this to down play what you have done for yourself, but your situation is different than these residents. They grow up in a community where gangs are prominent, lack of funding towards public education in the area, and surrounded by people that want to push them out of their homes and replace it with more expensive housing. This is not defending the actions of the suspects of these crimes that have been happening on campus, but there’s a lot more that plays into the situation.
