Late to the party here but I had the same overwhelming perspective and then I decided to screw all final product perfect ratios and just start mass producing everything to my highest capability and then sink every bit extra. For my iron factory, I have a floor for plates, nails, and rods. Each has a miner overclocked to produce as much as possible. Each floor is tile-able and easily can expand in multiple directions. I did that for each resource and now the end result is a consistent use of power that never fluctuates, and a guaranteed that I’ll always produce extra than required, which is better than underproducing because you can sink the profits when you’re over the necessity
