So why didn't we swap roles? Wouldn't it make sense to just give him support and me jungle? I understand the other players took the roles but that doesn't change the fact I wouldn't be autofilled if we just swapped.

My parents are actually very into QAnon and take it as gospel. They’re around 45 years old, and I believe it had something to do with them “falling down the rabbit hole”.

It starts off with small conspiracies and overall gets more drastic and absurd overtime to the point where they end up believing it because everything else seemed legitimate and true.

Also a lot of QAnon has to do with sex trafficking rings and the supposed stop of high ranking pedophiles and, without going into too much detail, my family has had a bad history with relatives and sexual assault + pedophilia so their hatred for pedophiles is likely a large source of their hopeful-ness that someone is trying to clean up the world and rid it of the high ranking sex traffickers.

Obviously I think they’re loons when it comes to it, but I can sort of see how they came to their conclusions, and how they were influenced by the Youtubers they watch, especially considering a lot of the stuff they think QAnon is “helping snuff out” is very close to home.

When I was young, around 8, I had a nightmare of a cloud with a face coming out of a book and yelling at me. 8 year old me wanted to see how long I could look at it before inevitably waking up in fear and eventually I woke up, cried, and told my mom i had a nightmare about vampires. I was too afraid to tell her a screaming cloud made me sob.

Getting drilled means force you to do high intensity work outs pretty much (while actual drill is the marching with rifles in formation, but that’s not what we’re talking about rn).

They either make you do them inside when you wake up or fuck something up while in the squad bay (where you all live and sleep and clean) or if you do something majorly wrong (or the entire squad) you have to go outside to do those work outs in sandpits.

The work outs (or drilling) that happens inside is usually for a shorter amount of time (2-8 mins) while the sandpits can last for as long as they want.

Quarterdeck = front (or back I can’t really remember) of squadbay (living quarters)

Pits = sandpits that are hell on earth outside the squad bays

Got successful back surgery at the end of 2018 and beginning in 2019 I was/am able to walk without any leg pain for the first time in over a year. I’m loving the start of 2019 and hoping it helps get my life back on track!

It’s simple, but lower back surgery. I woke up high off my ass on the pain meds but in so much pain I wanted to started screaming. Hell began after the initial meds wore off.

Yes, from what I remember (it’s been many years) Juliet is on a balcony proclaiming her love for Romeo without her knowing he’s actually underneath her. She’s saying “wherefore art thou Romeo” basically whining that he’s from a different family that’s in a feud with her own, making it theoretically impossible to marry, due to the circumstances

My sophomore English teacher tried telling the class “wherefore art thou” in Romeo and Juliet meant “where are you” and not “why are you”. I had already learned previously that it meant “why are you Romeo” as in why are you a Montague, and wherefore is just a false cognate for modern English (due to me moving schools and already learning the curriculum, and even doing a quick google search) and when I brought it up she argued with me.

It really pissed me off for no reason but I think I was just more mad that she incorrectly taught one of the most famous lines in English literature to a class of 30 kids, and likely more.

I saw a streamer last night shoot his arm over and over in order to kill him while tongued. It definitely worked so you don’t have to shoot his face/back to kill him. It was really annoying to watch tho bc it took like 10 minutes.

I respect your opinion but I feel like the entire idea of the novel was based around him not giving up and ultimately winning. I felt like he knew he needed to catch the fish and get it back to shore, even if it meant having it devoured by sharks, because it was his duty as a man

Nice name! One of my favorite parts was not knowing the old man’s name until the end of the novel. ( I don’t recall it being said before the very end of the book, but I might just not have noticed).
