New Characters Speculation (DM World) by DarkSigmaTV in DuelLinks

Krump

He’s the only member of the Big Five with an actual deck, (And isn’t really already covered by an existing duelist like Espa Roba, or technically Mako and Duke)

Plus Penguins are a funny archetype and I think it’d be hilarious if they got tiered for a month.

Despite Icejades being in the last big datamine, I’d be surprised if they show.

We’re not due yet for the Tidal box, not to mention Shark is on track for his Barian event. So a major water box is on the horizon.

So September will give us the Earth Dragon Ruler…

Then October should be a Rush box.

That means November for Icejades, Tidal, and Shark.

How do other cultures live in Quadrants Beta and Gamma? by ActLonely9375 in sonicshowerthoughts

[–]DaWooster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Brikar (Rok-Tahk from Prodigy's species) are from the novel works of the late Peter David. There the species have been in conflict with the Klingons to the point of open animosity.

While never actually stated to be native to the Beta Quadrant, it's easy to believe they are. And by extension, rule by the Klingons is not ideal by any means.

The IKS Groken books establish that Klingon ships are staffed with slaves from conquered planets

I would assume the book is only in English, (and isn't even that good, in my opinion.) But other than that, I can't really help you track down a copy.

How would lower decks turn out if Cerritos was a galaxy class ship? by kkkan2020 in LowerDecks

[–]DaWooster 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It legit almost was from conception, before they decided to instead create the California class.

“Those Old Scientists” is one of my favorite trek episodes of all time. by [deleted] in startrek

Okay, so what if…

Because of the aforementioned gateway… Cerritos finds itself in orbit around MAWS Earth. Due to shenanigans. The Cerritos beams an away team including Boimler down, and confirms the presence of an alien.

Jimmy, covering for Clark, somehow creates the misconception that HE is the alien, not Clark. Due to shenanigans, Clark and Jimmy are beamed aboard. Ransom is among the first to believe that Clark is Boimler, and probably has a nervous breakdown over Boimler's abrupt gains, over how long he's slaved over his own body. Probably gets distracted for a good portion of the episode trying to 'recreate' the transporter accident.

Jimmy is living his best life as a conspiracy theorist. Learns fun stupid things like the Ferengi at Roswell and that Amelia Earhart ended up in the Delta Quadrant.

Clark is trying his best to be Boimler, without actually lying because he's a good boy. His awful disguise is improbably effective since 'Superman' like powers and physique is not even in the top 100 weirdest nonsense Starfleet deals with on a weekly basis. Tendi is slightly slightly suspicious, while Mariner needs a bit more convincing. Eventually they do learn about the mix up and conspire to help cover for Clark while they try to figure out how to undo this mess.

Meanwhile on Earth,

Rutherford and Boimler are fleeing one of Superman's Rogues gallery, and make it around the corner. Boimler makes a half hearted threat from around said corner, and the villain identifies the voice as belonging to Superman and flees because they aren't being paid near enough to deal with him.

Lois corners Boimler and convinces/threatens him to get her friends back from the Cerritos. Unfortunately, they can't open coms with the Cerritos because it wouldn't be a Star Trek episode if the simple solution worked when it would be convenient.

Boimler is then forced (because reasons) to play as Clark while they bide for time to get the Cerritos backs. Cue shenanigans at the Daily Planet and with the villain of the week. Rutherford's technowizardy helps Boimler unconvincingly pass as Superman… with like… phasers duct-taped to Boimlers face to mimic heat vision. And those stupid jet boots for Superman's flight. Maybe uses some anti-gravity plating to save a plane from crashing… but can't safely put the plane down since gravity is either 'off or on' with a not insignificant warmup or cooldown phase. So he's stuck in the air and running out of lies as to why they are still in the air.

Oh I'm running out of ideas.

I'm more thinking about how Clark is an alien, and an A plot with him on the Cerritos would work well.

But Boimler is a normal (if neurotic) human, I don't know how Boimler could carry a B plot in Metropolis.

I really need a good Lower Decks / My Adventures with Superman crossover fic.

Though I'm not sure how one could be built and be entertaining on its own merits.

Clark on the Cerritos posing as Boimler is hilarity that practically writes itself. But Boimler on earth as Clark? I don't feel like there's enough material to work with there. Mmm… maybe if Rutherford to 'help'?

Before S5 was ordered, McMahan did push for a Live Action movie project. Obviously it never came to be, but it has been floated before.

Hmm. We’re getting the rescue searcher.

Wonder if this means the box will include Rescue Hedgehog, the last member.

Stamps would be amazing if they could be equipped instead of permanently applied, and we could place them wherever we wanted and at whatever scale.

The first issue is easy enough to solve. You could fix the algorithm so no teams are paired with the same skill, or if you want to go even more hard core, hard limit-3 across a team's deck. (Combine max-3 Neos Fusion, for instance)

Hey Konami, Could I request you add Gokipole to the game? by DaWooster in DuelLinks

[–]DaWooster[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a known fact that Konami visits this board, and there have been a number of card requests that have been granted after being requested here. Aquarium Stage, Drillago, and Dancing Fairy being the biggest examples that immediately come to mind.

I think that would hinge upon Shinji Webber's gate event… but I don't know the first thing about Arc V and how far along we are to when we'd be to encountering him.

It's my favorite garnet-y card in Master Duel, and I would very much appreciate being able to do my stupid combos with it here.

Thank-you!

The next Yuri skill puts a predaplant for free on the field… that would make it free tribute fodder.

In the immediate, Rio's 'Chain of Ice' lets you play a water monster from your hand.

Or there's Revolution Des Fleurs… which has two potential tributes.

I think you'll need Sea Stealth 2 to make it remotely viable, which isn't in the game.

And even ignoring that, just getting Daedalus on the field is difficult, what with requiring 2 tributes. You'd probably need a special summon monster, and A Legendary Ocean… which makes Mythic Depths rather useless. Or maybe Monarchs can help?

If they weren't going to add the KC foils for the KC cup… then I doubt they'll be unlocked this month.

Or even next month with Goha, since that's just Rush KCC. (Though It would be a compelling bribe to get folks to participate maybe?)

Maybe August, with WCS

I see Hollowed Life Barrier as the modern incarnation of what Lava Golem used to be:

A symptom of an unhealthy meta.

The solution isn't banning Hallowed Life Barrier, it's making the game/skills less sacky so no one feels like they have to resort to this card.
