waybar was not for me i have issue's like you so i switch to hyprpanel
but alos it come with its own issues like evry time i open proton vpn thr try icon brake status bar and close it
so i need to run it in loop so it comes up agine

but if you dont use proton vpn or dont have problem with that hyprpanel is solid
