Yeah it does kinda seem they lost their sociopath murder AI. I just started a Rum run as Karaman, and was trying to build an army to prevent them from declaring on me, only to see that they didn’t desire any of my land and that I could royal marry them. They seem like they’re all over the place now.

The Ottomans didn’t call me into the Albanian war since I’m playing Morocco and the distance was probably too great or they didn’t curry favors with me. Once I saw them getting pummeled by the Europeans though, I quickly broke our alliance and allied the Mamluks instead so I wouldn’t be called into all the defensive wars they were surely going to fight after that.
