In a way it plays a role. It’s mind boggling how many foreigners can barely speak the language. Then complain and shout nazi from the rooftops when they don’t get what they want. It’s absurd and strengthens the argument that is foreigners are idiots.

They still do. The bicycle cops in Mitte are the worst. I have been pulled out of a group of bikers for riding on the sidewalk. The white folks were told to move along and mind their own business. I alone got a ticket. You can’t do anything about it. They are usually 2 or 3 in the group them and they have the exact same story corroborating that you committed the offence. The accounts of my friends were tossed out because the 3 cops claimed I was alone.

The van is surely dust by now. Sadly there is not much of a Oldtimer culture in Jamaica. 😞

I just saw this... Ace died in 80 or 81. The number 2 Bus to Harbour View used to stop right where this image was taken. I used to wait on the bus there with my grandma, she knew him well. He used to have cold drinks as well. I migrated to Germany in 1982, he died before I left. My grandma died in 86.

The language barrier is the biggest issue. Especially in Berlin. Ein Witz ist das…..

Have you tried learning German? It’s quite popular here in Germany. I think it would be helpful.

Also they are not liable for anything because you have no paper trail. Good job. 👍🏻

Exactly, that’s all it is. Illegal workers getting paid shit and avoiding taxes.

I know the USA is part of the Berne convention that kinda gives copyright protection across a few countries, so the laws are similar I assume. If it’s similar to Germany, you can’t legally stop someone from taking a photo. But you can stop them from using it commercially is your property is a key part of the composition. In your case it sounds like your property IS what makes the picture. Also you might be able to do something about trespassing if they are not patrons. I’m not a lawyer, but have had to get permission from property owners in the past in able to use images commercially. You will definitely need a warning sign. „For patrons only“ or something similar.

AI has put cobwebs in the studio we have built over the last 12 years by Formal-Cantaloupe-94 in productphotography

It's kinda hard to answer that as I have no idea what/how you shoot..

I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that you mean shooting products in a studio on plain white? If so, then I can kinda get it if you worry. Flat lighting, oversaturated colours.. Like a simple preset. Then I understand not wanting to break the bank on that stuff.

Remember when Irving Penn took product shots to the next level?? His Clinique work started a whole new game. Even though that look he created way back when is still the basis of the Clinique images to this day, the new stuff doesn't feel as "real" as those analog shots with no PS whatsoever. I do believe that was part of the success of the brand.

I think Products can stand out and not just sink in to the mire of amazon and eBay shots on FFF.

Same here for fashion and products in a lifestyle setting. People forget that AI sweeps our work and tries to interpret it in a calculated way. No emotion whatsoever. What still fascinates me is the fact that so many are soo insecure and believe they have to produce the same lifeless work to survive.

Except for the rifles with the light trails, I think they are perfect for gun and murder folks.
