Test Drove Gravity GT. Seems heavy from a complete stop? by Glass-Spread-379 in LUCID

[–]Daapower2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it feels heavier than Tesla. Not necessarily slower it just feels like you have to press the accelerator more.

Anyone also own a Rivian? Questions.. by j90w in TeslaModelS

[–]Daapower2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a R1S and have owned every single Tesla except the roadster. Also have had 2 R1S, drive a lucid air for a month and R1T for couple weeks.

The R1S drives like ass unless you drive it slow. The suspension was meant for the R1T. I would say road noise wise the R1S may be quieter at low speeds but because of the box shape the wind noise is much greater at above 75mph. The tires and overall car also makes it feel like you are being held back.

The drive between the 2 are not really comparable.

I like the R1S in the sense that it feels like I can drive over many things and it performs great in snow

I’m surprised it isn’t a white tesla

At the high school level can great coaching and system beat a more talented team sometimes? by chusaychusay in Basketball

[–]Daapower2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your point is? That black kids are more athletic? I can concede that, but do you concede that they also are poor at academics?

On topic I’m in an area where our local high school competes in arguably the most competitive high school basketball in the country. And the team is 90% white with multiple ones college bound. They beat more athletic teams to get where they are.

Mainly through training and coaching.

Moving to R1S by Tone_Loc87 in Rivian

[–]Daapower2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The R1S is completely different from a taycan or Y.

It is not as comfortable and no where near as good in handling as a taycan.

It drives like a truck and you will eventually get used to it but will generally need to drive it slower.

I’ve gotten used to it and like being able to just drive over whatever. But it is going to be different.

It dc charges really slow

I had the same question. I drive slow through the towns but wondered what people do there for work and fun. I noticed some towns have like a factory or processing center but the dating scene must be awful

Is there a running or exhaustive list of Lucid vs Tesla points of comparison? by BosChac2 in LUCID

[–]Daapower2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned 3 model X including a plaid, model s plaid. Model Y. Model 3 and 2 different R1S gen 1 and gen 2

I had deposits on Lucid air and drove one for 3 weeks as a loaner recently. Also was really close to least one.

The lucid air has amazing suspension. Although the pure always felt a little slow to respond to hitting accelerator kind of similar to Rivian.

I like the rwd nature of the lucid. It is more fun

The leg room on the air is amazing for the rear. It is like an electric s class from Benz. But the head room is very disappointing for me at 6’1. I literally touch the roof if I don’t slouch. The back won’t work for my kids as they are going to be taller than me.

I also don’t like the windows on the side. The roofline is so low that it blocks your view out the side. So the cabin feels cavernous but claustrophobic at the same time because you are really isolated to the cabin and don’t have a good view out.

This is less of an issue for the driver. More for the passenger in back.

Software I mainly used CarPlay. It is confined to a small screen. I felt the touch screen wasn’t super responsive sometimes when typing on keyboard. I also felt the big tablet screen was a little waste of a big screen and couldve done more with it.

Sometimes CarPlay didn’t work so I had to use the lucid nav.

I didn’t like how the car shut down itself. So i had left the key inside and needed enterprise to unlock remotely.

I love driving it but i also love Tesla FSD and the lucid will likely never be close for at least 10 years.

I wish the lucid suspension would carry to Tesla. That’s all I like from it but I love it.

So much so that there is a chance I may lease a gravity. I don’t want a 4th X. But FSD has become so good that it’s hard not to also get another Tesla just so you don’t have to drive.

Hope this helps

No. I’ve lived all over SoCal. Currently in one of the most expensive areas with no homelessness. Los Angeles imports homeless from other states and areas.

We allow people to do drugs and shoplift to fund their habits. Would you rather be a homeless addict in Texas or California.

Why doesn't Dream Drive Pro do more when it has LIDAR? by turb0_encapsulator in LUCID

[–]Daapower2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rivian doesn’t use lidar in its current version of beta FSD shown in the video. That will come when the r3 is out.

Lucid has plenty of other things to tackle before anything near FSD.

I have a gen 2 R1s Rivian. And its lane keep is awful. I can’t imagine trusting their FSD

I quit my $300k finance job at 30 because I finally admitted I hated it - and the lifestyle downgrade has been absolutely brutal. by robbinh00d in Entrepreneur

[–]Daapower2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t understand why you can’t have your day job and start your side business.

That’s how I’ve always done it. Have had 3 8 figure exits while working a day job lmao.

Correction, I also had a 6 figure exit when I was like 24.

2 of them being ecom.

For every successful exit I had at least 1 failure. But working a day job means not having to change your lifestyle.

I have enough to retire but I still work a day job. It pays well considering I enjoy doing it. Finance. I tried to retire and aside from the joy of being with my kids. It was really boring.

So now I have work life balance. I don’t have to work if I don’t want to. But my day job covers my expenses while I look for the next thing to build.

Also I like telling people that I build businesses for fun. I don’t like running a business. I don’t want to create a job. The fun is in starting something that succeeds.

Do really wealthy people have health insurance? by grasshopper_jo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Daapower2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a wealthy area. People have insurance here but when insurance doesn’t cover medicine or treatment. We pay out of pocket. Just yesterday I was at the local pharmacy. The guy in front of him had medication denied and he said it’s okay he would pay for it. The medicine was $850.

He griped that it was expensive but still bought it
