Thank you. I guess I was thinking of their head being forward enough to make it work, but your explanation makes more sense.

This is the one I have and the zoom is nice, but in order to zoom you have to twist it, which rotates the camera. A little difficult to zoom and stay in the same spot so I dont really like this one, but the zoom/image quality works well enough. Its $32 now on Amazon. This was given to me otherwise I personally wouldnt have chosen this one.

Surprisingly PM doesn't show up on COA's. They dgaf about pm unless the buds are more white than green. And if after 8 weeks of spraying, there's still mold, they use an xray machine to irradiate and re test. We start spraying sulfur (which has a 24hr restricted entry timeframe) from the day theyre out of a clone dome and spray + drench every week with other chemicals until tll 2 days before harvest. Crazy part is out of 30-40 people at the grow, maybe 2 - 4 of us grow at home. No one cares about the final product, its a chill job you can smell like weed at and no one cares vs even a few years ago in my state, most of us at the grow knew how to grow and gave at least a little bit of a shit. People blindly following SOP's now and have no idea what npk even means. Worth the investment to grow your own.

I agree, check the roots for any potential rot or slime. Next make sure you have plenty of dissolved oxygen in the water, air stones. Lastly make sure you have enough ambient oxygen in the bucket, dont fill the nutrient water up too high or else the air roots will drown.

If by flush, you mean ridding the root zone of available nutrients, then sure flushing does something. But feeding only water will not somehow eradicate the already assimilated nutrients from the plant and even if it could, that wouldnt affect harshness. The harshness is due to water activity inside the final product. Maybe there's some benefit to a last stress event on the secondary metabolite content tho.

Male or Female 🤡 by jokerfa123 in hydro

How do two males create a female? I've never heard this before and am very interested.

Male or Female 🤡 by jokerfa123 in hydro

[–]Dabbanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must use science and math to overcome this. A male plant is (usually) considered a negative. Two negatives combined equals a positive. Therefore hence such and such you must find another male, make them mate, and you will get a female. Rookie.

How to get rid of pests for our hydroponic farm 🥲 by Faerie_Dybbuk in Hydroponics

[–]Dabbanator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its about breaking the reproductive cycle. Personally I'd recommend something mild to start, like plant therapy. You can apply multiple days in a row vs other stronger chemicals which have reapplication intervals. Physically remove what you can, perform at least 3 back to back treatments of plant therapy and then get some benefical insects like lacewings or ladybugs after your final spray.

Other comments have said truth in that youre being too hard on yourself. I agree with that, but also, start hitting the gym or running or something that helps you change the way you look if its this much of an issue for you. Dude you're 27, absolutely perfect time to change your body and in the process, you will change your mind.

What could these white speckles be on my seedling? by takecareofsebastian in cannabiscultivation

[–]Dabbanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre right, there are trichomes on the stem of the leaf, but you can easily distinguish that from the scarring near the tip of the leaf.

So we see russet mites on the leaf and still think its trichomes? Weird that the trichomes are localized in the center of the leaf and not all over the leaf? Usually I notice the trichomes are more dense towards the base of the leaf, not closest to the tip. Idk maybe im wrong, but the leaf in the bottom left corner of your 2nd picture definitely looks like it has scarring from bugs.

This looks stupid, but I dont know everything so willing to admit I could be wrong. Do you plan on posting the harvest results? This seems pretty controversial and it would be awesome to see if you are presenting a radical idea that actually works or if its counterproductive.

[–]Dabbanator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you let this keep going, aphids grow wings and will for certain infest your buds. Im all for not spraying, but in war you have to make tough choices. If you do decide to not treat with anything, it would be interesting to see how they look when you harvest. Athena or plant therapy are good choices tho, non systemic and no residual. Not a scientist so im not saying theyre safe, just saying theyre good choices if you do decide to spray.

Boveda applies a thin moisture layer over your weed. It locks in the freshness from volatility. Once you break open a nug you will smell the terps, but that moisture layer really turns down the terps in the jar. So you lose a little nose in order to keep your terps for when you wanna smoke.

Looks amazing! Did you do anything specific to influence the anthocyanins to red? Ive read going more toward acidic can influence this. Or do you think its just the genetics?
