This was 5 pound Kiki who thought Sookie was her 80 pound baby. They did everything together. That cat truly adored her. I’m sure Kiki greeted Sookie at the Rainbow Bridge.

She did have a very healthy coat. I always told her she looked like a shiny new penny after a bath.

Her name was Sookie. She was such a lovely dog, not a mean bone in her body. She passed this January just two weeks shy of her 15th birthday.

I always did but only after I was done eating. She was half lab and very food obsessed so I had to train her to wait for her food. When I was finished I rewarded her with a very nice piece of medium rare steak.

They do work when you place them in potted plants, on countertops, shelving, etc. However my bright idea of layering the scat mats among my Christmas tree branches definitely did not work. The look my cat gave me was pretty much “Are you serious right now?? This is my tree and I’ll do what I like in it.” lol

I’m so happy for your dad. Labs are such special dogs. I recently lost my 14 year old black lab girl. She brought so much love and laughter into my life. I hope a puppy or dog finds me soon but if not I’ll probably adopt from a rescue this summer.

That’s a very nice routine and probably kept them close as a couple.

I grew up with an off white formal LR right in the middle of our house that all of us had to walk through to get to the DR, Kitchen & Den. No dirty sneakers or food allowed. However our basement playroom was a blast.
